When Kim Eun-Jae's parents suddenly pass away from an accident, with her being the sole survivor, she finds herself under the care of her father's oldest sibling. Now Jae has to adjust to life without her parents and her siblings being across the wo...
I rubbed my temples, feeling frustrated with myself for letting myself once again fall behind in classwork. Because of my extra shifts, I was now behind on homework and luckily my professor's were very reasonable and understanding people. "Hey, Jae." Sehun greeted as he took a seat beside me, I was currently sitting at one of the tables in the window seat of the classroom. "Hey, Sehun." I gave him a light smile as he took his seat beside me, "You doing okay?" He asked, taking his notebook out of his bag and placing his bag under the chair. "It's just.... I'm behind on homework..." I said, sighing as I looked down at my paper. "That's because of those extra shifts you keep taking, huh?" He asked, raising an eyebrow at me as he set his pen down on the table. "Yeah.. But I take those extra shifts for a good reason. I can't support four hybrids and myself with what little money I make working my regular shifts, you know?" I said, leaning onto the table. "Yeah, I completely understand that. But Jae, pace yourself. If you keep doing this, you'll keep falling behind. Now, how about this? As your best friend, why don't I help you with all of the homework you have to do?" He smiled, making my heart pound in my chest. "You really want to help me with homework? Don't you already have enough on your plate?" I quirked an eyebrow at him, he leaned closer to me, a smile still etched across his face. "Of course, I would do that for you. You're my best friend. My partner in crime. Even if I might have a lot on my plate, I still will always make time to help you. You know that, right?"

"Of course, I would do that for you too. You're my best friend. My partner in crime. Even if I might have a lot on my plate, I still will always make time to help you. You know that, right?" He smiled, "Of course I know that, silly. Like you said, I'm your partner in crime. And speaking as your partner in crime, when was the last time we pranked Suho?" I quipped, making Sehun's eyes light up in complete excitement. He and I always liked to pull pranks on Suho, his reactions were always so funny. "Oh lord.. You two.." A voice spoke, the two of us turned our attention to Seulgi who had just walked in with Chanyeol.
"What?"
"You two are planning on pranking him again, aren't you?" She asked, brushing her hair back as she took her seat behind us, with Chanyeol sitting in the window seat behind me.
"Maybe.. Maybe not.."
"Well, good luck with that. You know he has a knack for being able to tell what you two are doing if you're gonna prank him." Chanyeol smiled, shaking his head as he ruffled his hair a bit. "Well, I know a way how to throw him off his game." I smirked, making the three look over at me.
"What do you have in mind?"
"How about I invite you, Suho and Baekhyun to my house for dinner? We can bring Baekhyun into the prank.." I suggested. "That sounds good. We can say that you invited us over for dinner so that I could hang out with you.. And the prank.." Sehun trailed off, looking down at his hands. "Have you two tried tricking him into thinking you two are dating?" Seulgi piped up, "Actually... We haven't.." Sehun blushed, as I turned a bit red myself. "Well, then that's what you should do! Fake that you two have been secretly dating and break it to Suho during dinner." She smiled brightly at the two of us, as we looked at one another still blushing. "Alright..." Sehun shrugged, "Wait! Don't you have four hybrids? Two of whom get really protective of you?" Chanyeol asked, looking over at me in alarm.
"I do.. But.. Maybe I can test out a theory of mine.." I said, crossing my arms.
"A theory of yours?" Sehun quipped. "No way," Seulgi gasped, looking at me with a large smile on her face. "What?" I furrowed my eyebrows at her, confused as to why she was looking at me like that.

"You like your hybrids?!! You have feelings for them! Like romantic feelings!" She exclaimed, I immediately panicked and blushed bright red. She knew exactly how I felt towards them and I tried to deny it. I didn't know if they felt the same way I did..
"Pffftt... No, I don't." I shook my head.
"Yes, you do!"
"No, I don't!"
"Jae, you can't even deny it anymore. Your face is completely red and your eyes say otherwise." Kai spoke up, startling me. I looked over my shoulder, as Kai smiled at me while he sat on the desk in front of Sehun and I.
"How long have you been sitting there?" Sehun cracked a smile at him, "Since Seulgi suggested that you two act like you're dating." He shrugged, a smirk etched on his face. "Alright then, it's settled.." Chanyeol clapped his hands, "You two from this class on have to act like you are a couple. That's the best way to make it believable, besides, you two already act as if you are a couple anyway." Seulgi said, making me blush.
"No, we don't." Sehun denied, while I shook my head in agreement with him.
"Yes, you two do." Kai chuckled.
"Oh, whatever." Sehun waved his hand and pulled out his phone, "What are you doing?" Chanyeol asked, leaning forward in his seat.
"Telling Suho and Baekhyun hyung that we have been invited over for dinner at Jae's tonight." Once he was done typing, he hit send and waited for the two to reply. His phone dinged not even a second later, the two giving a thumbs up emoji. "Alright." He said, looking up at me. "Looks like, you and I are going to now have to really show off." He smiled, taking my hands in his large hands. "Ok."
"Kai, what have I told you about sitting on the table?" Our heads snapped to our Professor, Mrs. Lee who was not happy with Kai. "Sorry!" He smiled nervously, hopping down from the table.
