Eun-Jae's pov
(October 13th)
There was one thing that Jimin absolutely loved, and that was his birthday. He made it a very big deal that his birthday was coming up and Yoongi had said something about how the lady at the lab would always celebrate his birthday with a small cupcake and stuff like that. Since he was never able to have a party due to the other scientists in the lab, I decided how best to celebrate his birthday. When Taehyung and Hoseok asked why Jimin and Yoongi never had a birthday party, Yoongi made up that their previous owner just didn't throw them one. Yoongi was still uncomfortable telling anyone about his past, especially because he had been stuck in a lab for most of his life. I wanted it to be a big surprise so I begged Sehun, Suho and Baekhyun to keep him out of the house and busy for the time being while I decorated the place and got everything ready. In the months that I got to know Jimin and Yoongi, I learned a lot about his favorite foods and snacks and things. One of his absolute favorites Kimchi Jjigae, he loves meat, fruits and any type of stew. He really likes kimchi as well. When it comes to desserts, he usually eats fruit or if he really wants something sweet, he eats chocolate. Right now, Yoongi and I were at the store gathering party supplies. Taehyung and Hoseok had agreed to stay home and decorate the place, since I had bought decorations earlier in the week.
"Alright, so we've got: Paper plates?" I had a list of things that we had picked up, so Yoongi was helping me check the cart to make sure we had grabbed everything we needed.
"Check."
"Paper towels and napkins?"
"Check."
"Plastic cups, forks, spoons and knives?"
"Check."
"The cake?"
"Check."
"Cupcakes and fruit for Hoseok and Baekhyun?"
"Check... Wait.. Why do we need to buy fruit for Baekhyun? I thought he ate sweets." Yoongi quirked an eyebrow, I looked up from the paper and my eyes met his. "Baekhyun went on a diet last week. He's stopped eating pastries. Suho thinks he won't last the duration of his diet regimen." I said, shaking my head. "Well, I don't think so either. How long is it?" Yoongi asked, "About three to four weeks." I answered, "Yeah, he's not gonna last long." He shook his head, sucking his teeth. After paying for everything, we picked up some fried chicken and then headed back to the house.
"Wow, you guys got a lot of stuff." Kai chuckled, as he came outside of the house to help. Originally, I had invited Kai and Chanyeol over but Chanyeol had to work so Kai came. It seemed that when he first got there, he got along pretty well with Taehyung and Hoseok which made me very happy.
"Yeah, we did. Did you guys finish decorating the house?"
"Yep. You should have seen Taehyung-ssi's excitement when Hoseok found the Birthday banner." He took bags from the trunk, as I grabbed the food from inside the car. Yoongi carried most of the stuff in the house, so once we got everything out of the car, we started setting everything up. I showered and changed into something more comfortable, which Yoongi, Hoseok and Tae did as well. When I got back downstairs to keep Kai company, Taehyung walked out of the bathroom with a short sleeved pink shirt on, underneath was a long sleeved black shirt. The funniest thing about the shirt was a picture of Jimin's selfie from a few years ago. "What the hell are you wearing?" Yoongi quipped, he was coming from the bathroom upstairs and saw Tae's shirt. When Hoseok came out of the bathroom, I couldn't help but chuckle as he was wearing the same shirt as Taehyung. "Where did you get those shirts?! I want one." I laughed, "Oh, a buddy of mine made these. He's really good at printing designs on shirts and stuff like that. I'll get you one tomorrow." Hoseok explained, "When Jimin sees that he'll either throw a fit or he'll laugh." Kai said, shaking his head as he laughed. We made some more jokes about the shirt, laughing for a good while. Around 4, I got a text from Suho that Jimin was ready to come home. It seemed that he had been bugging Suho the whole time, so I told them to come straight here.
"Alright!" I called, turning the boys attention on me.
"Suho is on his way here with Jimin. He's about two minutes away, let's hide!" Yoongi flipped off the lights, pulling me behind the couch while Taehyung his behind the kitchen wall. Hoseok and Kai hid behind the large table that had all of the food on it. When we heard the front door open, Yoongi motioned for me to get ready. We could hear Baekhyun laughing with Sehun, while it seemed that Jimin was growling at them for some reason.
"Where is everyone?" Sehun asked, "I don't know. It's dark in here too." Baekhyun said, "Well, they should be here. That is Jae's and Kai's car outside. Let me turn the lights on-" Suho cut the lights on and we immediately jumped out of our hiding spots.
"SUPRISE!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY JIMIN!!!!"
Jimin slightly jumped from the loud shout, while Sehun and Baekhyun high-fived one another. Hoseok smiled, snapping a quick picture of Jimin's shocked face. He took several more pictures, before taking some of Yoongi. "What? What is all this?" Jimin asked, finally able to get words out of his mouth. I smiled, stepping from around the couch with Yoongi as Taehyung rushed over to Jimin and hugged him tightly. He pinned a Happy Birthday pin on his shirt, smiling widely as he stepped back.
"It's your birthday, Jimin. Surely, you didn't think I wouldn't celebrate it with a party of your own, did you?" I quipped.
"You.. You threw this party for me?" I could see the tears building in his eyes, but they weren't sad tears. They were happy tears. His tail swished happily behind him, "Of course, I did. Chim Chim. You deserve a party for your birthday. Just like Yoongi will get one, and Hobi and Tae-Tae. You've been through so much and I wanted to show you how much I love and care for you. Now, I can't take credit for everything. Hobi, Yoongi and Tae all played their part in helping. Even Sehun, Suho and Baekhyun helped out to set this surprise up. So I give them-" I was tackled into a bear hug, the calico hybrid basically squashing me into him.
"Thank you, thank you so much... Kit.. You have no idea how much this means to me. Thank you. I really appreciate this. You are such an amazing person, I don't know how Hyung and I got so lucky to have you as an owner and best friend. Thank you, Kit.. I love it.. I love you." I felt his tears hit my neck, I held him closely and smiled as I rubbed his back. "I love you too, My handsome, cute mochi. I am glad that you like it." When he finally pulled away from the hug, he basically jumped Yoongi who didn't want to hug him but gave in.
"Alright!! Let's get this party started!!" Chanyeol bursted through the door, startling most of us. "Chanyeol, what the hell?! You nearly us a heart attack!!" Suho shouted, looking annoyed. "Hey, didn't you have a shift today?" Kai asked, "Oh, I got off early. I see it's just in time to start the party, huh!" I chuckled, shaking my head as he came in and closed the front door behind him. The rest of the day was filled with party games, laughter, cake, birthday songs and parodies of songs, Karaoke and much more.
It made my heart warm to see Jimin smile so much, it made me happy to see the four of them so happy. I hope it stays this way for a long time. "Kit, come on!! Let's play!!" Jimin tugged my arm, pulling me over to the table where they had set up monopoly. "Wait a minute...." Jimin asked, turning attention onto him. I saw that he was looking at Taehyung and Hoseok, "What?" Tae raised an eyebrow, leaning forward as he went to grab a piece. "Where did you get that picture from?!" Tae looked down at his shirt, a smiling gracing his lips as Hoseok started laughing. "Hyung!! How could you?!! This is is a complete violation of my privacy!!!" Jimin whined, turning to Yoongi who was sitting to my right.
"Whoops." He smiled, holding his hands up in mock surrender as Baekhyun started laughing.
