Eun-Jae's pov
"Alright boys, listen up!" I clapped my hands, walking into the living room. Jimin and Hoseok looked over at me, they were sitting in front of the TV watching a movie while Yoongi slept on the couch across from me. It was about one in the afternoon, so it was the perfect time to get out of the house. I saw Yoongi's ears twitch, which let me know that he was listening to me. "What's up, Kit? You look excited." Jimin paused the movie, turning his full attention to me. "Well you know how you've been bugging me to find a park nearby to take you so you can play?" I asked, looking to Hoseok. For days, Hoseok had been bugging me because he wanted to go to a park. I had so many shifts that I couldn't take him right away, so I set aside time when I would get home from work to research hybrid friendly parks to take him to. "Well, guess what?" He let out a huge gasp, his tail beginning to wag happily. "You found one!!" He shouted, "Yes, I did. What do you say we go in about an hour?" Hoseok let out an excited shout, jumping to his feet as his tail started wagging even more. He was so happy that his tail was now smacking poor Yoongi in the face, which only seemed to annoy the panther hybrid. "You mean we can go today?!! Really!!" I nodded, laughing at his excitement while Jimin just shook his head. "My small Pup!!! Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!!" Hoseok immediately ran over to me, his arms went around my waist as he suddenly lifted me off the floor. I let out a loud squeal, not expecting the sudden action but laughed as he swung me around. I felt a bit dizzy from him swinging me around, but I couldn't stop laughing as his tail swung happily from side to side.
"Yah!! Put her down before you make the poor girl dizzy!" Yoongi snapped, I looked over to see that he was still on the couch but he was giving Hoseok a deadly glare. Yoongi was always the one to scold the boys if they did something he thought could remotely harm me, he had become so protective over the last few weeks. Hoseok shook his head, slowly placing me down on my feet and blushed. "I'm sorry. I just got really excited.. My previous owner hardly ever took me out to the park to play." His ears and tail drooped, I reached up and scratched behind his left ear. "It's fine, Hobi. I'm glad that I can take you there and you can finally play without breaking anything." He leaned into my touch, his tail wagging happily behind him, making me chuckle as I continued to scratch that spot.
"Hey, I want to be petted too." Jimin pouted, crossing his arms.
"Come here then, you big Mochi." Jimin smiled, jumping to his feet and made his way over to me. I immediately reached up, scratching behind his ear. His tail swished happily behind him as he leaned into my touch, his purrs filling the silence filled air. After that, Jimin and Hoseok happily got ready to head out while I packed a picnic basket with snacks.
I couldn't help but laugh as I watched Hoseok run around in his animal form at the large park, just a few blocks from me. I had to practically drag Yoongi out of the house since he didn't want to get up with his lazy self, but Jimin seemed excited to come. I was sitting on a blanket with a small picnic basket in the shade, under a nice big tree. Curled up beside me was Yoongi, he was wearing a baby blue sweatshirt with black jeans and black tennis shoes. He slept peacefully and I couldn't help but stare at him, "Why are you staring at me?" I blushed lightly, "I was not staring at you." I scoffed, making him scoff right back at my answer. He stared up at me with one eye open, as his tail slightly moved to wrap around his leg. "Yeah, right. You were staring at me. Don't deny it." He said, I looked over to him and just shook my head at his response. I could hear Jimin yelling in the background, while I heard Hoseok bark loudly. "You really don't want to go play with Hoseok and Jimin? They look like they're having fun." I suggested, Yoongi lifted his head and looked over at Jimin and Hoseok. I looked at the two, watching Hoseok chase after Jimin who seemed to be having a fun but he looked scared at the same time.
"And be chased around by that crazy mutt? No thanks. I'll stay right here." He said, laying his head back down as I looked at him. I chuckled, shaking my head and patted his head. I scratched behind his ear, causing him to purr loudly. I smiled at him, feeling a warm feeling in my chest as Yoongi drifted in and out of sleep. I heard a loud shout, recognizing it come from Jimin. I turned my head, letting out a gasp as I saw both Hoseok and Jimin covered in mud. Hoseok had changed back to his human form, and the two of them were completely covered in mud. Jimin looked thoroughly pissed off, while Hoseok looked content and happy. I stopped petting Yoongi, causing a small groan to sound from the panther hybrid as I stood to my feet while Jimin and Hoseok came over to the blanket.
"Why are you two covered in mud?" I raised an eyebrow, crossing my arms as I looked at the two of them.
"Well that stupid dog decided to tackle me right into a puddle and it happened to be a mud puddle. I told him not to." Jimin huffed loudly, pouting as he looked at me. "Are you angry?" Hoseok let out a whine, looking down at his feet as his ears drooped. My heart caved when he whined, the way he was looking at the ground made my heart break. "Aww, Hobi. I'm not angry. I just didn't expect you both to be covered in mud. You both will have to take a bath once we get back home. It's lunch time, so go wash up in the bathroom and come back here." The two nodded, rushing off to the bathroom. As they ran off towards the bathroom, they kept shoving one another and even fought to get through the door. I shook my head, sighing as I turned back to Yoongi who was setting up the food. "Aigooo... What am I going to do with those two?" I chuckled to myself, taking a seat next to Yoongi.
"You adopted them."
"I adopted you too." I shot back, making him grumble.
"Yahh!!" I turned my head over to the shouting, watching as Jimin and Hoseok were racing back over. Again shoving one another as they hurriedly came over, Jimin being the one who loves winning, got to the blanket first and plopped down in front of me. While Hoseok let out a shout and panted while he plopped over in front of Yoongi, "Yay!! I won!!" I chuckled at their odd behavior, while Yoongi just shook his head in annoyance. At some point during lunch, Jimin and Hoseok started fighting over the last cookie. I sighed, not really wanting to get involved and it seemed that Yoongi was even more annoyed with their arguing.
"It's mine!"
"No, it's not! That cookie is mine!!"
"You've already had three, Jimin!! That's not fair!!"
"I already told you that the cookie was mine!! So stop fighting me!!"
"YAH!!!" Yoongi shouted, startling me and startling the two hybrids arguing. "Give me the damn cookie!" Yoongi snapped, Jimin quickly grabbed the cookie and placed it in Yoongi's hand. Yoongi glared at the two, his hand suddenly jutting out to me. He nudged for me to take the cookie, so I did. Hoseok frowned as Yoongi patted the top of my head, motioning for me to take a bite out of the cookie. I smiled, appreciating the nice gooey, chocolate chip that I had bitten into.
"Haven't you two even noticed that Kitten here did not have a single cookie?! She let the two of you continuously eat them and because she saw how happy you two looked while eating it, she didn't want to take one for herself. She even gave me cookies, so I wouldn't miss my chance on eating the cookies she baked for us. You two are selfish." Yoongi scolded them, I zoned out and looked around the park. My eyes landing on a family, just a few feet away from us. There was a young girl running around with a puppy hybrid, while her parents sat down and watched the two play around. They looked so happy, I felt a pang in my heart as I watched the mother tend to one of the other kids.
... I miss mom.. I miss dad... I miss the days where we would go out and eat dinner, or just be together and have fun.
"Kit?"
"Pup?"
"Eun-Jae?" I snapped out of my thoughts, blinking my eyes rapidly to get rid of the tears building in my eyes. I then turned to Yoongi, who looked concerned, his dark brown eyes showing worry. "Are you alright?" He asked softly, "Yeah, yeah. I'm fine. I promise." I smiled at the three of them, trying to get them to not worry so much. And although, they thought my smile was genuine and true, it was far from it.
I'm not okay. I'm not fine. I want my parents and my brothers. I want to be with my family again. I'm not fine, Hoseok. I'm not fine. My parents are dead and my brother's are not even here.
A hand was placed on my back, before I was pulled closer to the panther hybrid sitting next to me. Jimin and Hoseok had once again started chasing after one another, while Yoongi just held me close. His head resting on my shoulder, his tail and arms wrapping around my waist. "I know you're lying, Jae. I know that you miss them. But you have us. You have us and we aren't going anywhere." Yoongi said softly, making my heart melt. "I know."
