3rd person's pov
Eun-Jae let out a soft breathy sigh of relief stepping into the café, relieved to be out of the snowy weather. Despite her love for snow and the cold weather, she hated driving in it. Snow and ice was an absolute nightmare for the roads, dangerous for people who didn't know how to drive in it. "Good morning Jae," She turned her head to the left, a big smile plastered on her face when she saw Sehun standing behind the counter. "Good morning, Sehun. I didn't know you were working the morning shift with me." She walked behind the counter, taking off her scarf. "Yeah, I told Chanyeol that I would cover his morning shift with you. He and Kai have been all over the place since Lay Hyung came home." She gave Sehun a large hug, holding him tight. "You okay?" He asked, pulling back from the hug to look at her. "Yeah, I just really needed a hug from my bestie." She gave him a small smile and he gave her a smile back. They started their shift fairly simple, things were slow at first. Pretty soon, Baekhyun and Suho had come in to start their shift as well. As soon as it hit 12 AM, everyone started shuffling into the cafe. Owners and their hybrids, shuffled into the cafe for the afternoon lunch which overwhelmed a lot of the staff. Since it was only the four of them at the time, they knew that they needed to call in back up. But lucky for them, Jin had arrived with a bit of backup called Jungkook. "Did somebody call for back up?" Jin questioned, turning Sehun and Suho's attention to them. "Hey, guys. Thanks for coming in," Suho smiled, heading over to them with an empty platter tucked under his arm. "It's so full in here," Jungkook said, looking around the packed café. "Yeah, this time of year is always like this for the café. Christmas is one of our busiest holidays." Suho explained, "Yeah, I figured as much. Where do you need us?" Jin looked around, noticing the large line at the counter. "Sehun could use Jungkook in the back. He is behind on orders and Baekhyun has been trying to help out but he's been helping at the register so Jae doesn't get overwhelmed." Jungkook nodded, heading to the back to help Sehun with the orders. When Sehun saw Jungkook, he greeted him a smile and a sigh of relief. Jin made himself busy with helping Suho not only clean the areas when people left but running orders to people at their table as well. Baekhyun resumed his activities at the register, Eun-Jae slowly becoming frustrated with some of the customers who began complaining about their orders taking too long.
"Excuse me!! I have been waiting for twenty minutes for my coffee and bagel to go! I am officially running late for work, if I get fired, I will hold you responsible!" A woman shouted at Eun-Jae, pissing her off even more than she already was. "I'm sorry that you have been waiting for your order for so long but as you can see, we are completely backed up! I promise we will have your order ready soon." Eun-Jae tried to reason with the woman, who kept egging her on and complaining until Eun-Jae had, had enough. She refunded the woman her money, before kicking her out of both the line and the café. She shoved the woman out the door, closing it with a large bang which got everyone to go quiet as they watched the interaction. Sehun and Jungkook poked their heads out the back, watching the whole incident with Suho, Baekhyun and Jin.
"Anyone else wanna get refunded their money and kicked out?!" Jae shouted at the crowd of people, immediately they shook their heads and started to chatter in a calmer manner. "Good." Jae brushed her apron, smoothing it out and headed back behind the counter.
"Hey, are you alright?" Baekhyun asked, looking concerned by her sudden aggression. "I'll be fine, Baekhyun. Let's just get through this holiday evening rush." He nodded, taking down more orders.
Three hours later, business had slowed down which gave everyone enough downtime to sit and relax for a bit. Jin was making pastries in the back, stocking up ingredients and when he was done, he brought the pastries out for the others to try. He set a plate down in the middle of the table, taking a seat next to Jungkook who was leaning against the booth. "Jeez, I didn't realize today would be the holiday rush. Had I known, I wouldn't have taken Chanyeol hyung's shift." Sehun groaned, as Baekhyun massaged his shoulders.
