Era's POV

"Good morning ma'am!" said Neel as he greeted me with a smile, ready to make me the passenger of his bicycle.

"Good morning". I couldn't help but smiling. Even though the next few months would be testing, I enjoyed a new kind of freedom in that world.

Agreed, that I still had to cook food or do household chores. But I was doing them for myself. I didn't have to worry about the tastes of others or compromise my own. I had to take care of the timings. But I wasn't responsible to manage my timings as per the needs of others. Life might be full of struggles. But the struggle was for my own wellbeing.

I sat behind Neel's bike and we went through the broad roads. Our co-travelers were sweet. Everyone would wave and greet each other with utmost politeness as they would pass each other or wait during the traffic lights.

The kids would sometimes take the lift. Did I tell you that they had zero crime rate?

"What about the pollution? Don't you guys have industries?" I asked.

"Well, there are industries but they are at the southern part of the city. They are surrounded by lush greenery so there isn't much pollution. All the farms are situated near the animal care centers in the western zone. We believe in keeping homogenous sectors together, and yet away from the life of the townspeople. Besides, our superior technology leads to almost nil wastage and least pollution." He said.

Agreed. The North zone was the largest zone, covering the forests, beaches and rivers. It was untouched and devoid of population. All the commercial buildings were located at the eastern part of the city. The residential sections were located in the middle, so that people could commute. The city was well-planned.

A sign board showed the direction towards the eastern zone. We soon entered into a huge arena having many commercial buildings. Again, all in blue.

"Here is your office!" Said Neel as he stopped his cycle in front of a giant building.

"Cerulean Publishing House"

"Finally you are here." exclaimed Mihir as he rushed towards me.

"Why are you so nervous?" I asked him. It was rare to see a confident and charming personality so nervous.

"Nah. I am not nervous. Are you nervous?" Mihir replied as he wiped a sweat from his brow.

"Chill. Agreed that I am not as intelligent as you, I won't screw up!" I assured him. And that was true. Writing is my life. Its my passion. And how can someone fail in something he is so passionate about?

"Na I am not nervous. Its just that my father..." he stopped as soon as the alarm in his smart phone buzzed.

"Hurry, lets go! Father is very particular about time! We don't want to make a bad impression on the people!" He said as he held my hand and guided me to the second floor meant for the newspaper publishing.

Satya Oza uncle is a man of a great height and imposing personality. His rimless glasses tilted slightly gave him a look of a "no-nonsense" persona. Mihir had told me that he was in charge of the entire publishing part of the city. Which meant that all the newspapers, books, pamphlets or content meant for the public would pass under his nose.

"yes?" he looked at me with a neutral look as I knocked his cabin. He gave a vibe of a strong and tough mentor who believed in "hard love".

I was ready to be schooled again, if he allowed me to work under him.
