Heya, everyone! As you must have guessed reading the title, I was confused with the ending. I mean, I had 2 ideas in my mind. 1). The ending should be magical. 2). The ending should be realistic.

So I decided to put out both endings. You can accept the one that appeals the most.

This ending is the magical one. Hope you like it

Era's POV

"What? How could you hide such a huge fact from me?" I asked Neel as he dropped me at my home.

"Trust me, Era. I was bound by my duties. As a member of the Council, I was required to be neutral and not be part of the decision-making process. It took me a lot of effort to persuade the council about being your friend from the day you entered our lands." he shrugged.

If you are wondering what happened, let me tell you. The verdict was in my favour. I still remember the moment Aisha declared that now I was a citizen of Cerulean city. The whole city was overjoyed. I was lifted on people's shoulders and nudged towards the stage. I took the microphone ( like a seasoned speaker, I proudly admit) and thanked every folk and Council member for being such a huge part of my life. Those three months were life-changing.

We all enjoyed then enjoyed the DJ dance (again, I admit that dancing was an altogether new concept for the whole town. Everyone just kind of imitated my moves or made their own while moving their bodies the beats). Neel stood by my side throughout the whole night. I gave him a curious look but he signalled me to wait. He had many answers to give. Everyone congratulated me as we all parted.

"So you are the son of Major Karanveer and brother of Aisha?" I was still unable to come into grasp the situation.

"Yes. I didn't tell you because the Council thought that such a fact would motivate you to influence me and my family. I had to assure them that whatever you had achieved was with your hard work and talent," he said.

We walked silently. I was mad but then logic started making a place in my head.

"Is that why you live alone?" I asked him.

"Yes. Earlier I lived with my family. But I was getting closer to you. So I rented a flat so that you would fail to discover my family's identity in case you visit my place." he clarified.

And then things started making sense. How he would get access to the footage of my life before I entered this place. The camera room was restricted to the Council members only. Or why he was so close to Aisha.

"You turned quite fearless today," he remarked casually.

I smiled, remembering how successfully I had turned the tide in my favour.

"You wanted me to be like that. Didn't you?" I asked him.

"Ummm hmmm." he smiled into my eyes as he held my hand. We both walked in comfortable silence until we reached the doorstep of my house.

He looked at me, smiling sadly as it was the time to part.

"Good night Era. I am proud of you." he smiled awkwardly as he turned around to walk back to his house.

"Ummmm Neel, wait please." he turned around, his questioning glance gracing me.

"What?" he wondered if I had forgotten something.

I grabbed his shirt's collar and pulled him towards me. And kissed his lips. However, I was doubtful if he would like it. He didn't respond so I withdrew as he stood like a statue.

"I am sorry... I" began to apologise to him. It was stupid of me to take him by surprise. Just because I had been fantasising about kissing him, it didn't mean that he too would be riding through the same waves of desires.

He gently grabbed my waist and kissed me with a butterfly touch as his lips barely touched mine. It was slow at first but as he embraced me, his kisses began to mould my lips like a Potter smoothly moulding the clay.

Deep had kissed me many times but those kisses were customary. Not because he loved me or admired me. Because it was a necessity. But the current scenario completely contradicted with my past experience. I felt alive and wanted.

He gently withdraw and we both looked at each other. His cheeks had turned pink and I felt warmth spearheading my cheeks. I guess we both were flushed with the happiness of finally expressing ourselves.

It was the most memorable day of my life.

"No. I appreciate you taking the initiative. It's just that you took me by surprise. Sometimes we guys are too shy to make the first move."
He clarified.

We hugged each other and Neel promised to pick me up the next day for the office. Though now we knew that I knew how to ride a bike, Neel felt that for my safety it would be better if he would give me a ride. I agreed.

Heya guys, I am going to publish the epilogue of 2nd ending soon! Please stay tuned (for some reason it got deleted from this chapter)
