Neel's POV

"Neel!"

I was so happy to see her, hear her voice as she stood in front of me, while I was absent trying to figure out the venue of the next event!

I wondered how she found the "Cerulean Volunteering Centre", the place where all kinds of Disaster Management, as well as Event Management activities, took place.

When I say Event Management, mind you it's a very serious thing in this world. Because people here believe that one must de-stress at least once a month. And we were in charge of holding such events for the people.

"Times up!" She smiled as she handed me a coffee mug. She referred to the fact that my work time was over.

"Let's drink coffee and go home!" She said.

"Well, if you are free tonight, we can do one more thing!" I proposed.

"See, I don't know how to cycle. I came all way walking from the "Publishing house" to this building. Trust me I am too tired to hang out anywhere." She said as she put her folder aside and slumped on the chair beside me.

I couldn't help but smile as she sweetly sipped her coffee, looking around the place, trying to assess the slow-moving crowd. Since it was the closing time, people were vacating the office.

Today the work was too hectic. I wondered if my staff had any strength to hang out anywhere after the office.

"What do you suggest?" She asked.

I grinned. I shut off my laptop, loosened my tie and went to the washroom to wash my face. I came out and took her to the fireplace room.

It was located in the middle of the two-storey building. We went inside and beautiful sight greeted us.

The room was super cosy, lit with the fireplace. There was a coffee machine and a huge shelf of books. There was one white coloured soft plush sofa in front of the fireplace, where one can sit and relax during the winters.

It was my favourite place whenever I would feel like hanging out alone.

Today was special because it was the first time when I was in the company of someone in the room. Usually, I would come to this place after everyone would leave the office. That would provide me with comfortable isolation.

"Wow, it's beautiful!" She almost danced with joy and ran towards the shelf. I was glad that she shared a passion for books like mine. She grabbed a book and sat on the fireplace. I went to the machine and made a mocha. One for her and another for me.

While she read the book and got completely immersed, I quietly put down my book and grabbed her folder. In it, was her resume, her certificates and her write-ups. I wanted to know her strengths. So that I could play upon them.

It took me 40 minutes to carefully analyse everything. As I raised my head, I found her sleeping with her head on the handrest of the sofa.

I looked at her Angel-like face. And felt bad for her. A perfect lady like her didn't deserve an ignorant husband like Deep.

Of course, I know about her married life! I had been fascinated by her ever since she laid her hands on my grandpa's ring. I used to go to the Council's control room to see her, trying to fit in the outer world!

But her place was here. She was meant to be here!

My uncle was once a part of the council. So I would go with the pretext of meeting him and sneak inside the control room whenever I would get a chance and no one would be watching. I one day, got the chance to observe her married life.

I felt bad seeing her slogging off for her cheater husband! I mean, he would ignore her, cheat her, won't return her the love and care she deserved. Her in-laws were no good either.

I wonder how Deep could be so foolish to leave her? Anyways, I want to see her happy. And I would do whatever I make her happy.
