Heya, everyone! As you must have guessed reading the title, I was confused with the ending. I mean, I had 2 ideas in my mind. 1). The ending should be realistic. 2). The ending should be magical.

So I decided to put out both endings. You can accept the one that appeals the most to you. Both the endings are on your disposal :):):):):):) Do comment and let me know which one did you like the most

This one is more of a real-life kind of situation when Era decided to take a strong call. WHEN THE COUNCIL REJECTS ERA. YOU CAN JUMP TO THE NEXT CHAPTER WITH ALTERNATE ENDING WHEN THE COUNCIL ACCEPTS ERA. BOTH THE CHAPTERS HAVE BEAUTIFUL AND POSITIVE ENDING.

ERA's POV

"The Council believes that Era is ineligible to be the part of our lands!" Chimed Aisha and the whole town protested in unison. Everyone was confused as to why the Council was so harsh with the decision. Amidst the shouts and protests, I realized that instead of sulking, I could be the bigger person. I learnt the most important lessons of my life here so why to leave the town on a sour note. Neel came and held my hand.

"Don't you worry. If they expel you out of the town, I will come with you." He assured me as he held my hand. I was touched with his gesture. We had known each other only for 3 months. He cannot leave me for his motherland, family and flourishing career. It might be tough for him but I couldn't let him sacrifice his happiness or create ruckus in the town due to the folly of the Council. I leave Neel's hand and  climb the stage to hold the microphone. The whole place gets eerily quiet.

"I wouldn't contest the decision of the Council as to why did they choose to reject me. And I don't care to ask the reason for the rejection. But I am happy because you all have accepted me with open arms. I learnt my life lessons while I was here. I created strong friendships, got to know my own hidden talents and learnt how to slog in oddest hours to prove my mettle. Earlier, I was working hard to prove myself to the Council. Now I am working harder to prove myself. Because now I know that I am precious. I deserve love and I deserve happiness. Before I leave, I have three wishes, I would like the Council to fulfill them. Firstly please do not erase my memories, because if you do that, I would lose my self-worth and confidence that I had built here. Secondly, I want everyone to read my novel. So that they could remember me for the lifetime. Third, please allow me a day to spend with my friends and well-wishers."

As soon as the words left my mouth, the Council spoke amongst themselves and affirmed my request. I spent the half of the next day chilling out with my friends and colleagues. The second half was reserved for Neel. As we parted, he kissed me and I gave him his Grandfather's ring. It belonged to him.

"Don't worry. You will get through this." I told him as I referred to his heartbreak.

"And don't you worry Era. You will get through anything." He smiled with tears in his eyes as the portal closed. I took at last look of everyone and the isolation engulfed me.

EPILOGUE:

ERA's POV

"And with this, I am glad to announce that our company is the largest publishing house of the nation!" and I meet with the roaring response from Media and the shareholders of the company. I knew my parents must be viewing the live press-meet from their television. I also hoped that Neel and the other Council members of the Cerulean city too must be watching my success from their control rooms. I knew Neel would be proud of me while the other members would be regretting their decision for expelling me. Either way, I didn't care.

I was free from a turbulent marriage. Deep had begged me to reconsider my decision to divorce him but I was adamant. My uncle had gifted me his bungalow so I had roof over my head. I chose to stay on my own rather than with parents. I wanted to experience the freedom of living by myself. Soon, my book got accepted by a publishing house and became the bestseller in the country. I minted money and had no anxiety about paying bills as I was well-off. I started my own publishing house to promote young writers and within next 5 years, my company climbed to great heights.

Though I kept myself busy, I knew I wanted someone to make my life emotionally fulfilling. 5 years had passed from my divorce and the emotional wounds were healed. I had a faint idea that I need someone in my life (not for the financial or mental support as I was quite self-sufficient). One night of being alone and severely ill made me realize how lonely I felt.

As if the God had heard my prayers. One Sunday, having nothing to do, I ventured into a café called "Café Chit" and sat on a table, waiting for my order. As I browsed through the catalogue, I heard a familiar masculine voice.

I looked around to find Neel, Mihir and Nisha laughing over something funny. Suddenly my eyes met with Neel. He smiled at me and gave me an intense eye-contact.  I looked away, awfully confused if it was really Neel. And then I realized. This dimension too had a Neel or Mihir or Nisha. Maybe its God's way of telling me that I too could find love.

I looked around to find him standing close to the receptionist's table, ordering coffee. I went to him and took a deep breath. And asked him for a coffee date for the next day, if he was single.

"Of course, I am single. And by the way, my name is Yug (it means generation in Hindi)" He bestowed me with his rich throaty laugh and  promised to meet me in the same café and at the same time.

"Meanwhile, you can always hang out with us!" shouted Nisha (or whatever her name was in this dimension)  as she seemed to overhear our conversation. I joined the trio to realize that Nisha's name Rajni  and Mihir was Ravi. At least their names retained the meaning. I knew that I would hang out with that trio forever. At that moment, my life felt complete. I knew that my future was bright and beautiful.

I thanked my stars and God for giving me a new lease of life. I resolved to make the best of it.

Heya people how are you? I know you guys must hate me to expel Era from the  Cerulean city. But I gave a beautiful ending right? Anyways you can always read ENDING # 2 to enjoy the magic of Cerulean life! Do let me know if you liked this chapter.
