Neel's POV

"This is heavy!" I and Mihir complained as Era made us lift the heavy sound system.

We three were out of the portal, at Era's mansion, trying to lift the sound system that was old but in good condition. Era was busy downloading the playlist of the songs while Nisha was searching for the "aux cables" while keeping in her mind the description given by Era.

Our world never allowed smartphones. We all possessed walkie talkies. However, the Council was kind enough to allow her to use the smartphone. In case her family called her. I hadn't seen her talking to any of her family members. Though I had many times spotted her looking at her marriage photos and then hiding her tears. She was very private about her life and I would never force her to tell me her woes unless she would be comfortable. I would rather wait for her to tell me everything. Though I knew about almost everything.

"Why are we working so hard?" questioned short-tempered Nisha, her temper ready to flare up any moment.

"I promise you, Nisha, all the trouble is worth it," said Era as she kept her phone on the table and assisted Nisha in searching for the thing. Nisha's temper smoothened as she grew curious about Era's plan. It was the first time when we all saw her that confident about anything.

While we were lifting the system, I saw Era, smiling and looking at herself in front of a mirror. I could understand why.

She looked fitter and glowed more than the day when she had joined our world. Her eyes had started becoming lighter and bigger. Due to all the walking, she did every day, she had lost the flab under her chin and her clothes looked loose on her. I was never an advocate of being super thin. But I have always valued the right amount of food and exercise. As well as mental peace. Being healthy is one's responsibility and I was glad that Era's health was automatically improving in our world. The same health that she had been ignoring after her marriage.

Later that evening, she took us to her place and played the system. The music was called "songs" and each song was different. One sing was sad, another made me tap my feet while my body wanted to move to its beats. There was one song that reminded me of rain and one slow song and kind of romantic.

"So like how many songs do you people have?" Nisha asked the unspoken question.

"Thousands of them. All different in different languages and different countries." Era said excitedly. As if showing off her new toy to the bunch of innocent kids.

"We all will perform a skit too. I will write the script!" she declared.

I, Mihir and Nisha looked at each other, and then nodded. Three of us were unaware of what skit and script meant. We will figure it out anyway. We had Era to guide us.
