Era's POV

The venue was outside the open ground of the pub. The trees were beautifully wrapped with the lights and wooden benches and tables adorned the scene. There was a giant table that served delicacies. It was the round for the start-up. While Neel was busy firing up the instructions to the volunteers, I was supervising the food department.

"Everyone, please form a line to avoid the inconvenience!" I said as the folks were lining up for the starters.

I had realized that I was getting a bit bolder and confident while handling people. My job as a journalist made me meet a lot of people in my job and interview them. I was getting the courage to face new people one on one.

"everyone! Attention please! Today we are going to play a game. I want everyone to come here. Please vacate the food corner so that we all can enjoy the party." Said Neel and I smiled. He had a charismatic personality and knack of leadership. I wished I had as much confidence to at least even make public announcements.

"And now I request my friend Era to explain us how to play this game!" said Neel.

I gulped with nervousness. What the hell. It was already decided that Neel would make others play the game. He would direct and lead the three hundred people crowd. Where did I come in the picture?

What happened in the next few moments was in daze. In midst of the cheering crowd, I took the center stage. Neel made me hold the microphone while I still wondered what went wrong.

"h--he--hello everyone!" I stammered.

"Don't worry. I am standing right behind you. Take the lead. If anything happens, I will be there for you." Neel whispered.

"hello everyone! I am Era" this time I tried to sound more confident.

"Hi Era!" the crowd roared.

"Okay so today we are going to play the game.' I announced and everyone cheered. I looked around for my purse, nervously without realizing that it was already hanging on my shoulders.

"We are her volunteers!" said Nisha as she and Mihir came up on the stage and she grabbed my purse. She took out the pens and Mihir grabbed the papers.

And I heaved a sigh of relief. I had an ample of support. I just needed to stay calm and do this. From the corner of my eye, I saw Karanveer sir and the entire Council, looking at me with a doubtful expression. Now I had no option but to host the game.
