Amy had finally shut off her laptop at around midnight. Since the pandemic had started, they'd asked if she could start zooming with Zephra to help her ease into her new position while still managing Cloud 9. She originally thought it'd be easy, but it was turning out to be very much not.
She was on the verge of breaking down when she finally came to bed. She was usually zooming in the living room to avoid waking anyone with her talking. She changed into more comfortable clothes and then crawled into bed, taking a deep breath and trying not to cry. It was just so much.
Unknown to her, Jonah was still awake next to her. He opened his arms when he noticed her there so she could snuggle up to him.
"I don't know how much longer I can do this." She'd mumbled into his chest, sounding utterly exhausted.
He gave her a gentle kiss to the forehead in attempts to soothe her, "I know. Something needs to change soon."
