Amy probably should have known better than to take a rowdy five year old to the store a week after Black Friday, but the timing with groceries wasn't great, and she couldn't find anyone to watch Parker while she went to the store, so she had him with her to go grocery shopping.
For most of the trip he was pretty good. He seemed intimidated by how many people were in the store, so she was able to relax.
Until they were about to get in line and he saw something he wanted. He didn't really even think about it, he just started walking.
Amy was quick to grab his arm and pull him toward her, "Parker, the store is too busy for you to be running off today. You know better."
