It was Mateo's first day going back to work since Cloud 9 closed. He was getting ready to go, putting a sweater on over his other shirt, when he felt hands on his shoulders and a kiss to the back of his head.
"You excited?" Eric was there behind him, clearly ready for Mateo to do this. It'd been a difficult adjustment since the store closed, but the last week, Mateo'd been ready, excited, telling about everything that was going on, and preparing.
"Of course I am." Mateo turned around and wrapped his arms around Eric's torso, "This is gonna be really great. Cheyenne told me Glenn hired her too, so we'll both be there. I think he might've gotten a few other people from Cloud 9 too... I'm just so ready to be working again. It's been eating me up inside to not be out there."
Eric nodded and grinned, pulling Mateo into a quick kiss, "You're gonna do great today."
After that Eric let Mateo get back to getting ready, though there wasn't much else to be done. When he was finally leaving, he stole one more kiss goodbye before he watched him go.
