Mateo and Eric were pretty used to holding hands. Almost every time they hung out, when they were walking together, sometimes when they were driving, they liked holding each other's hands. It was like second nature, so sometimes they didn't even realize they were holding hands.
This was one of those times. They were walking to get coffee, and their hands ended up together before either of them even realized. They didn't think about it until they went to sit down and they had to let go. It wasn't a big deal, they just hadn't even noticed they were holding hands until that presence was gone.
