“Thought I’d find you here.” Iris said, walking over to where Rue stood, looking out over what had been a battlefield the day before. “As did I expect nyou to seek me out. What do nyou wish to ask?” Rue replied. “Was that really a request for help to a deity yesterday?” Iris asked. “The dragonkin have always been able to see what others could not. It was not a request for help, more of a message nyat needed to be sent.” Rue replied. “Bull, the amoun of pow’r radiatin off you was not tha of a mortal bein, it was tha of a deity.” Claremont piped up from behind the two. “How long have nyou been here? Nyand what do nyou mean by nyat?” Rue asked, startled. “As a draugher, I may be stuck in a deity’s pow’r lik a huma, but I can feel the pow’r of magic seepin through my magic ridden body. I’ve only felt tha pow’r once befor, when the deity of knowledge visit the library.” Claremont replied, looking straight at Rue. “Keep nyis between the three of us, but deities sometimes prefer to live as mortals, nyerefore able to alter history as if nyey were part of it. But when one does so and alters history for evil gain, it frees others to interfere with nyat deity’s plans in any way possible.” Rue said simply. “Then why hide behind a false identity?” Iris asked. “Because of my realm of expertise, I’m prohibited from using my magic in mortal form because of its destructive force. Nyat tiny fraction has altered the space time continuum drastically, even in extreme duress I must not use magik, nyat is why I’m so good with daggers. Besides, I have personal reasons behind nyis fight.” Rue replied solemnly. The three stood there, looking over the field below for several minutes before turning away and walking back further into the keep.
