“Oh gods, what happened?” Oathbreaker asked as Ron and Claremont carried the stretcher with Rue on it out of the thicket. “She should be fine, though I admit, the amount of blood lost.” Einkapf began, shaking their head as they shook the thought out of their head. “There is no guarantee with mortality, we can just hope death does not take her yet.” The dryad guide muttered. “Enough, she is making it through this.” Iris said. “I don’t think we should take her back to the keep in this condition, Rachel, Oathbreaker and Iris, can you make a believable guise, that most of us are human, we will have to bunk in the Oaken Bar.” Parly said. “It’d have to be different from the previous guise’s.” Iris said. “What about Rue?” The dryad guide asked. “She’ll help the disguise, if a group of humans walk from the forests with an injured cat-human, well known pawns of the church of golden blessings, they’ll just think of a group of mercenaries and a cat-human returning from a mission.” Oathbreaker said. A ragged growl issued from the overgrowth, it’s owner revealing itself. Dressed in ragged cloth, the seven foot skeletal figure seemed to glare at the group through it’s empty eye sockets. “The dead belong to the woods, yet you harbor one of our kind.” The creature rattled, pointing to Rue with a bony finger. “Rue is not dead.” Iris replied, putting herself in front of the stretcher. “That can change, after all, their life force is already fading.” Dere said,  walking out from behind the beast. Ragged and torn where the undead had their way with him, Dere was otherwise unscathed. Looking at his eyes however, you could tell he was already dead. “You know, it really is a shame that the elves can’t be reanimated. But, luckily enough, my battalion could be, along with several of these bone golems.” Dere continued as the undead battalion stepped forward. “There’s a necromancer somewhere, fend these idiots off and find where that target is.” Parly said with a scowl. “Now, now, halfling, you can’t go and give away my secrets.” Dere chided. Suddenly a bright splotch of bluish light formed behind Dere. In a movement like belching, the purplish light spit a man in dark clothes, head covered by a cowl, to the ground. “Sorry, but that thing was like a vacuum, trust me the worst is inside.” The figure said, standing up. Oathbreaker stumbled and the splotch of light disappeared. “Ah, I see, not just one deity resides in your group, really a shame what happened to the one though.” Dere said with a smirk. Iris charged forward, only to be cut off by an invisible barrier. “You, is this some sort of dietial magic?” Dere said, pressing his dead hand against the barrier. Rue sat upright, stumbling to the barrier, the cloth over their wound turning bright crimson. “Nyou are still alive, what a unfortunate surprise.” They said through gritted teeth. “And you have the capability to not only walk over here, but to talk to your enemy in such a fashion.” Dere said, clearly upset that his target was alive.
