“You never wish for first watch, who are you meeting?” Parly asked Iris as the diminutive being pulled her aside. “I never took you for an idiot, Parly. Some things are left unsaid for the sake of sanity and overall morale.” Iris snapped back. “I see, I wish you and Rue had came to me first, but this will not spread beyond our little circle, okay?” Parly replied, tilting their head to the side. “So you know, Rue is planning on joining us later on.” “That so? Then we must make sure the rest of our party doesn’t know who they are, the party received a watered down version of the truth, where Rue attacked you.” Parly murmured. “Of course nyey did, why wouldn’t nyat be what nyey were told?” Rue whispered harshly. “Very well, I’ll pray to those guys and gals to allow me to change my form to join nyou.” Rue continued, pacing around the clearing, disappearing back into the darkness minutes later. “Are you sure that you want to do this?” Einkapf asked, looking at the fortified church at the center of the town. “Of course.” Iris replied. “Plus, there has been someone following us since Iris came to be a part of our group on this mission.” Parly muttered, earning a glare from Iris. “Interesting, I’ve sensed no eyes on us this whole trip, are you sure?” Krom said finally. “Really, a being such as a cyclops could not notice me, I’m flattered.” A voice called out, laughing. “Show yourself.” Einkapf said, pulling their katana from its sheathe. “There is no need for that, I have the feeling that we’re here for the same reason.” The voice said, its owner finally walking out of the shadows. The owner of the voice was a short, thin woman, eyes sparkling with laughter and perhaps even mischief. But those semblances ended with other, inhuman qualities. The woman’s body was covered in tattoos, facial piercings and most importantly, a fox tail and fox ears. “I thought your kind resided in an alternate dimension, preferring it to ours.” Einkapf said, eyeing the fox-woman. “We do, but as you can tell, I don’t follow rules very well.” The fox-woman said, her lip piercings jumping at random angles as she talked. “This place is were the most evil is, it might not look like it, but I despise evil. I take it that you’re here to destroy the source of it?” The fox-woman continued. “No, we’re here on reconnaissance.” Parly replied, almost tranced by the movements of the piercings. “I see, you two can stop staring now.” The fox-woman said, shocking both Einkapf and Parly, who were apparently unaware. “My name’s, that’s weird, I can’t remember what my name is.” The fox-woman continued. “What about the name Oathbreaker, could that work?” Iris asked. “Oathbreaker, I like it. A mixture of the symbol tattooed on my cheek, a heart in chains, and my rebellious nature. Very well, you can call me Oathbreaker.” Oathbreaker said simply. “Will you allow me to join you in your mission?” Oathbreaker asked. “Don’t yu stan out a littl tu much?” Claremont replied nervously. “And you don’t? Never mind, the humans find my kind intriguing, some even worship us, the most shocking thing for them to process is my body adornments, but as my kind are rarely seen, not to much. I’d be more concerned about you five, it’ll be hard to get a cyclops cloaked efficiently and the draugher has a price on his head. So tell me, am I the one who you need to worry about?” Oathbreaker shot back. “She got a poin, how will we manag this?” Claremont finally stated. “I can work with the magic and clothing issue.” Iris began. “All of you will need to work on the magic bit, you, you look like your capable of sewing pretty well, tell me, however, if there is any of you who can fix some of complexion issues? I’ve seen your human disguises, they’re good, but your natural colorations shine through, tell you what, I’ve got just the right thing for that.” Oathbreaker said, reaching into a hidden travel pouch, pulling festive colors of dyes from it. “I just mixed these today, meaning they’re fresh, I’ll help you apply it to add extra protection.” “Don’t act so scared, it’s not permanent like these.” Oathbreaker said, touching her tattoos to symbolize the difference between the tattoos and the dyes. “You went a little overboard you know.” Iris said as she walked past Oathbreaker. “I have no clue what you mean.” Oathbreaker replied with a wink.
