Rachel exhaled a sharp breath as Rue walked into the clearing. “Rue, leave immediately, they can not have strayed far from here.” She said, voice taught with pain. “Nyey’re preoccupied, harra lagov re fro dou.” Rue replied, and the wyrm twisted in it’s magic cage. “What happened to your arms dear? And how are you holding that with your tail?” Rachel asked, noticing the red marks where the rope was and the scythe held high by Rue’s tail. “Long story, let’s just get nyou out of nyis place for now.” Rue said. Rue swung on of their blades at the chains, but it bounced off, the same happened when two hit the chains. “Hmm, even the blade engraved with spacetime magic bounces off, meaning it is made with strong nature magic, probably forced out of the dryad nyey had stashed at the tavern.” Rue remarked. “You met Freya, is she okay.” Rachel asked in a pained whisper. “She’s fine, we brought her back home, but now nyat I know for sure what nyese nyings are.” Rue replied, sheathing their daggers and retrieving the scythe from its suspended state. “No offense, but what will that do against those chains?” A lyrical voice rang out. “It’s a gift from the goddess of death, and if you keep talking it might be used on you naiad.” A chattering voice said from the other side of the clearing. “Ew, an undead, stay away from my stream.” The naiad shot back. “My quarrel is not with you, stay out of this.” The skeleton warrior replied, stepping into the clearing. “Both of nyou, quiet, I can’t concentrate on cutting nyese nyings with nyou fighting.” Rue yelled. “Wow, you got the undead ugly to be quiet, that thing really must be a gift from the underworld.” The naiad sang. The skeleton warrior, although unable to vocalize, moved it’s mouth in the patterns of derogatory comments about naiads and charged towards the river. It never got there however. The wyrm pushed it’s massive head against it’s confinement, blasting flames into the charging skeleton warrior, reducing it to ash, then snorted in satisfaction. “One, two, three, four.” Rue said as they cut the last of the chains. The Wyrm stretched into the sky and disappeared from sight. “Nyat, was interesting.” Rue said, visibly changing into a female form, a look of happiness appearing on her face. “Thank you, is Ron and Dere okay?” Rachel asked, her normal voice returning. “Ron is okay, Dere’s not going to be.” Rue said, her voice turning to an angry and husky male voice. “What has happened while I have been chained here?” Rachel asked. “Dere betrayed everything, he’s a pawn of the church of golden blessings.” Rue spat, her voice returning to feminine. “Impossible, Dere is a good man.” Rachel replied. Rue said nothing, just shook her head and pulled Rachel to her feet. “As we get closer I’m going to need to help our exit group, can you walk on your own by then?” Rue asked. “I can cast a antipain spell.” Rachel said. Rue shook her head and put her hand on Rachel's arm. “Nyat would be unwise. Nyou’ve been drained of nyat kind of energy for a while.” Rue said soothingly.
