The third day of waiting for the gates to open again, they finally did. Walking through them, Hearthgon and several armed dragon kin guards walked out to greet the group. “You seem to have a knack for finding people that are beneficial to the cause.” Hearthgon said with a strained smile. Oathbreaker somehow managed to hold her tongue. “If you don’t mind, I’d like to know personally what we’re facing, will the holder of this information please step forward.” He continued. “I’m aware that you wish to know, but perhaps the group that was with me when it was discovered should know too.” Oathbreaker said quietly. “Yes, perhaps. Might I add that you speak much like a deity I once thought I knew.” Hearthgon replied. “You use flattery too much, it loses its effectiveness. Do you wish this information here and now, or in a less public setting?” Oathbreaker asked. “How dangerous is it in the eyes of the general populace of our forces?” He responded. “Catastrophic.” Oathbreaker said simply. “Then we should find somewhere to be out of the populace of our people.” Hearthgon completed. “To be perfectly honest, the last one to say anything like that regarding me was a deity known as Rue. Are you sure you don’t know them?” Hearthgon asked, sitting in his throne while both awaited the others. “The name sounds familiar, but I can’t place where. Perhaps this deity knew more than they let on, knowing just enough to know how dangerous your fight was. Perhaps this is why they did the things they did.” Oathbreaker replied. “Sire, a troop of soldiers from the last battle have rebanded and are rapidly approaching.” A guard said, entering the room. “Crap, now of all times. Very well, let’s go and join our troops.” Hearthgon said finally, standing up and walking to the doors of the room. “It’d be my pleasure to battle with you in this fight.” Oathbreaker said, following him out of the room.
