The group watched Oathbreaker warily at the central fire, sure that they’d be cut down with her if not doing what the deity had said. More than that though, the deity of the underworld had regarded her as an old friend, which made anyone nervous. “Relax, surely they made a mistake.” Oathbreaker said, not even believing her own words. Not often does one get to look into the void and have it look back after all. A loud, pained roar shook the forest in the predawn light, towards where the group needed to go. Oathbreaker looked in that direction, scowling. “They captured a wyrm, no wonder they were able to corrupt this place so easily with only the help of a captured mage.” She said under her breath. Then without warning, she made several inhuman clicks and growls. This was answered by a low trembling roar, lasting for several minutes. “What’s all this noise?” Einkapf asked, obviously more than miffed to be woken at this time of day. “The deity of the underworld was correct, we will be able to accomplish both quests at the heart of the forests, come, we must wake the others, we are close, and now is the optimal time to strike.” Oathbreaker said simply. Einkapf just shook their head, walking over to shake Krom awake first. Rumbling, the cyclops swung at Einkapf, only for them to catch the blow in their hand and use it to flip him. “Time to be up Krom.” Einkapf said simply. “Iris, wake up, we need to go.” Oathbreaker gently whispered in Iris’ ear. Iris woke with a start, her face going beet red. “Wow, I knew that would get you somehow, but like this?” Oathbreaker said, laughing. “Shut up. Seems a bit early, but let’s get ready.” Iris replied. The leaves above rustled and a figure fell through the branches, landing where the fireplace once was. On its back, a scythe that could have been an exact replica of the one slung over Oathbreaker’s back. “Well, well, well, look who it is.” Einkapf muttered, clearly angry towards the figure. “Hello Einkapf. Oathbreaker, please turn nyis party around, the center of nyese forests is a trap.” Rue said, shaking off Einkapf’s anger. “Can they be trusted to be stating the truth after last time?” Parly asked. “What’s going on, Rue, then who?” Ron asked, turning around from where he was polishing his sword. “Yes, it is confusing, the spacetime continuum has two very separate sides, time, or Rue, space, me, Oathbreaker. You can’t banish twin deity’s if you don’t banish them both. I tell you now, what you heard about what happened, was mere frustration of a father. But that doesn’t matter now, what lies at the center of the forests is.” Oathbreaker said.
