“Yu still haven’t t’ld me yur nams.” Claremont complained. “That’s right, how rude.” Iris pouted. “Claremont, you do realize as monsters, in the eyes of the world, we are not allowed to name our offspring.” The ogre deadpanned. “Furthermore, due to that, any given names have anomalous qualities about them, leaving most to be banished from their homes, lest the cgb damn the rest of their kind to extinction.” The halfling continued. “But Iris..” Claremont began, “In Iris’ case, the cgb can’t compete against a proud race such as dragonkin. There are only a few races who don’t risk extinction, that’s why Einkapf, Parly and I are traveling together.” The cat-person said, walking away. “What’s the deal with them?” Iris pouted once more. “The cat-people and elves have become pawns to the cgb, causing the named individuals of both races to be hunted down and executed as criminals. On top of that, the cat-people had a habit of being able to change genders at will after being named, so as you can guess, the soldiers and even their own race, well you know.” Parly said, sadness darkening the halfling’s pink eyes. “They could still be a little nicer, we’re going to be spending tonight at a cyclopsian village, as they don’t work for the cgb but buy their freedom by selling them weapons. Remember this when you want to talk about today’s events. And Iris, your handlers will be here too.” Einkapf said simply. Iris’ happy go lucky attitude turned to that of a stone cold ruler.
