"I'll see you on the 28th baby," Shawn said, pulling Michelle into a tight embrace before he had to go, so he didn't miss his flight.

"Give me your best 'see you soon' kiss, and I don't give a damn who's watching," she requested, smiling up at him.

"Ok honey, you asked for it, you got it," he grinned, giving her the kiss she requested, whilst standing in the middle of Laguardia before they parted ways for their flights to Toronto and Montreal. "How was that?" he asked, giving her a sexy smirk after he finally broke the kiss.

"Jesus," she exhaled, looking up at him with a dazed expression on her face.

"That's it? No rating?" he chuckled.

"That WAS my rating, hot stuff!" she replied. "That was off the fucking charts!"

"No shit? Well that's new!" he said, giving her one of his million dollar smiles as he picked up his carry on and slung it over his shoulder.

"I can't wait for you to get to Montreal and give me your best kiss hello," she joked, reaching up to pat his cheek.

"Just nine days baby, so you better be ready for me when I get there," he smiled, giving her a soft pat on her ass.

"I'll be ready and waiting," she smiled back, as they hugged briefly once more before heading in opposite directions for their flights.

Shawn was happy to see his dad waiting for him at Pearson when he finally made it down the concourse, headed to retrieve his luggage. They gave each other a hug as his dad welcomed him home and soon they were in the car on their way to Pickering. He enjoyed being home to see his family and couldn't wait to give his mum and his sister each a hug, catch up on all the family news, and eat some home cooking.

By the time they arrived home it was a little after 1PM, and as they sat around the kitchen eating some lunch, they all fell into their normal family routine, joking and laughing as they got caught up on both the mundane and exciting happenings in each other's lives.

"So how's it feel to be at uni?" Shawn asked his sister.

"I love it! I'm really getting into my classes and I love the independence," she replied, taking a sip of her coffee.

"Well, I can't wait for the next year and a half to be over. I'm so ready to be done with school," he said, leaning back in his chair.

"It'll go by quicker than you know," his mum smiled. "The older you get, the faster time flies."

"I've heard that, but right now it's dragging. I want to get started on my career and get where I want to be in life, ya know?"

"So you applied at a few places for a summer internship, eh?" his dad asked.

"I have some irons in the fire, but the internship I'm most hopeful for is at Gensler. If I can get my foot in the door there, I think I'd have a shot at getting hired full time after I graduate, while also studying for my licensure exams. Man, that shit is gonna be a long haul, but I know I can do it."
