Classes were finally finished for the week and Shawn's formal crits for his latest project were over and done with. They went about as well as he could expect with all the unforeseen problem's he'd had. He knew it wasn't his best, but it also wasn't the worst project in the class either, so he'd take what he got and move on instead of dwelling on it. He was just happy to be going home for a short break to relax and recharge his batteries.
Michelle had done some more research and had gotten a lot more of her rough draft written. She had become friends with a first year grad student, Allison Fitzpatrick, mostly from running into each other in the library so often, but Allison was working on her graduate degree in Design and was willing to look at Michelle's rough draft occasionally to give her some unbiased feedback, which helped her gauge if she was on the right track with her thesis. She wanted some advice on what needed to be tweaked, added or deleted. Allison gave her a little direction and Michelle worked on what she had suggested, finally putting her writing away so she could finish getting packed for her flight that was leaving at 8:20PM that evening from Boston.
She was traveling with Shawn and he was going to leave the Jeep in longterm parking at the airport. They had to leave by 4:30, so they'd hopefully avoid most of Friday evening rush hour traffic, find a parking spot, check their bags and get through security, so they could have a little bit of time to maybe have some coffee together before they had to say goodbye.
Shawn arrived at her apartment before 4:00, knowing Michelle would be rushing around at the last minute to remember everything she needed to take with her and get her plants watered, make sure the lights were turned off and all the other small last minute details that would make them late if he didn't go over and get her moving on time. She was finally ready and had everything packed and her baggage zipped up, her coat and purse in hand, her ticket and passport in the front of her carry-on, along with her phone and charger and all details checked off her list.
"Alright babe, let's get a move on," Shawn said somewhat impatiently as he took her suitcase and headed toward the door.
"I'm coming, I'm coming, don't rush me! You know I hate to be rushed," she replied as she put on her jacket and grabbed her purse and carry-on.

They were finally out of Providence and headed on I-95N to Boston, listening to a playlist of Queen as they talked about their families and what they planned on doing once they each got home to see their family and friends. Michelle decided it would probably be a good time to tell him she had already decided to fly to Toronto, even though that hadn't been their original plan.
"Honey, I have something to tell you," she said, making Shawn look over at her with an expression of dread on his face.
"Michelle, please don't tell me you're pregnant."
"OH MY GOD! I'M NOT PREGNANT!" she looked at him in surprise.
"Are you dumping me?" he asked, briefly glancing at her.
