Michelle was sitting at Terminal A in Trudeau International Airport, having already said goodbye to her mother and checked her large suitcase. She had her purse and carry-on bag with her ticket and phone in the front pocket, anxious to get on the plane that was going to fly her to Toronto, where she'd be wrapped up in Shawn's embrace in about 90 minutes, if there were no unforeseen delays. She had taken time getting showered and dressed that afternoon, doing her hair and makeup to perfection and putting on some cute new lingerie, as well as a pair of thigh-high hosiery she had bought at the mall which she now wore under a new wrap dress she had bought at the same time. She then put on her pair of brown heels and her mother's vintage London Fog raincoat to complete the outfit.

She felt like she was in some rom-com or maybe some 007 movie, planning on a clandestine rendezvous with her lover in a city where no one knew them and where they'd steal away in a romantic hotel room for a few days where they couldn't be found. She chuckled to herself with this thought, wondering what Xan would say if she heard Michelle describe this sexy scenario playing in her head. Xan was the one with the active imagination, so she'd probably be proud of Michelle's storyline and encourage her to put the Do Not Disturb sign on the door and not come out of the room until she and Shawn had engaged in several days of making love and both were completely satisfied.

Soon her flight was called and she boarded the Porter Airlines commuter plane, ready to take off for Toronto and the man she loved, knowing he'd be there waiting for her. She got butterflies just thinking about him and couldn't wait to see his face and kiss him and spend the next few days together having fun.

"My goodness son, don't you look handsome?" Karen declared as she saw him coming down the stairs, overnight bag in hand.

"Thanks mum. Michelle and I are probably going to go eat at one of the restaurants at the Royal York, so I thought I'd go with the suit and tie tonight," he said as he walked into the kitchen to pull the bottle of chilled champagne out of the refrigerator, as well as the single red rose wrapped in cellophane, which made his mother smile.

"I didn't know you'd left your black suit here when you moved to Providence."

"Yeah...I mean why would I need this suit at school?" he asked, as he unzipped his bag and slipped the champagne bottle in amongst his clothes so it wouldn't break.

"I don't know, but I'm just surprised it still fits. When's the last time you even wore it?"

"Over a year ago at some funeral for one of yours or dad's great aunts that I barely knew."

"Aaah, well it looks like your evening with Michelle is going to be far from funereal," she chuckled.

"You got that right," he smiled. "I can't wait to see her. I've missed her so damn much and it's only been a few days."
