As he gently held her face and looked into her eyes, the tears that had threatened to spill during that entire speech, began to slide down her cheeks. She had no idea he felt like this about her all this time. Her heart was so full it nearly explode...

After making it back to Providence before hitting rush hour traffic, Michelle parked the Jeep so she and Shawn could take her skis and the small cabinet out and move them up to her apartment. Once they were inside they set the cabinet in the spare room until she could figure out exactly where she wanted to put it.
"I think it might be the perfect size to use as a mini-bar here under the window in the living room. Then I can take the liquor bottles out of the credenza and put them in the cabinet. That frees up space in the credenza for other things."
"Sounds like a plan," Shawn responded absentmindedly as he kissed her repeatedly, looking forward to their other plans for later on that evening.
"Shawn..."
"Hmmm?" he murmured as he continued kissing her face and lips.
"Shawn," she said again in an attempt to get him to listen.
"Hmmm?"
"Shawn...listen...I have to tell you something."
"What?" he said as he stopped kissing her and looked into her eyes.
"I have to tell you something, but I don't want you to be pissed or think something is going on, because it's not, so you have to listen to me, alright?"
"What? Why are you afraid I'll be pissed? What is it? Just tell me."
"Well, you know I said I could see you later, like after 10:00 tonight?"
"Yeah, that's fine, what's that got to do with anything?"
"Well, it's because I'm going to Alchemy tonight at 7:00 with Aaron Conner for open mic comedy night. I mean we made plans last week when we ran into each other at the grocery store after I finished with Lowe's and then we got a bite to eat at that place, Milk Money, afterward. It's kind of late to cancel the plans now."
"Honey, it's ok if you made plans with one of your girlfriends. I'm glad you're hanging out with some friends from Providence," Shawn said as he gently held her face and began to kiss her cheeks and lips again.
"Shawn...that's not it."
"What are you talking about?" he said, continuing to kiss her face and lips.
"Shawn, Aaron isn't a girl that I'm friends with, Aaron is a guy I've known since I was a sophomore at RISD and he was a junior at Brown."
Shawn stopped kissing her and stood there looking at her for a moment as he took in what she just said.
SHE HAS A DATE? WHAT THE FUCK? WHO THE HELL IS THIS GUY NOW?
"Shawn why are you looking at me like that? Don't be upset, it's not what it sounds like. See, this is why I wasn't sure how to tell you. Now you're pissed."
