Michelle had woken up around 7:30 Monday morning, full of nervous energy and needing to find some way to expel it. She wasn't sure if the nervous energy she was feeling was the sexual tension she'd been experiencing from being around Shawn these last few days or if it was due to the fact she was going to a new doctor in a few hours, which always made her a little anxious just because getting to know a new doctor and feeling comfortable with them took some time. But it was imperative to get her Mirena IUD removed today and figure out what birth control method she needed to be using at this point. For now though, she needed to go for a run, hoping that would help calm her down before her appointment at 11:30.
She drank a glass of orange juice and took her vitamins, then washed her face and applied her moisturizer, put her hair up in a high ponytail and threw on her workout clothes. She stretched some before grabbing her keys and phone, then made her way down to the lobby and out the door to go on a run towards RISD and around Brown's campus. She enjoyed running and it felt great to get out in the fresh air, even if the weather was a little colder than the last time she had gone on a run with Shawn. She took the College Street bridge over the Providence River and once she'd crossed Main Street, she made a left turn toward RISD, running through the mostly empty campus, then over through Brown's campus and made her way around the Rockefeller Library, back over the college Street bridge to Westminster and then to her building.
By the time she made her way up to her loft, she felt much better and walked to her bedroom stripping off her clothes so she could jump in the shower. She stood under the warm water as she lathered her vanilla scented body wash into her skin, rinsing it off then grabbing her moisturizing shampoo to wash her hair. She stood under the water and enjoyed the steam as it soaked into her pores, thinking maybe she'd put on a moisturizing mask once she got out of the shower. Turning off the water and wrapping her hair in a towel, then wrapping another around her body, she stepped out on the bathmat and rubbed her vanilla moisturizer all over her damp skin. As she combed her wet hair, she heard her phone ring and walked into her bedroom to see Jane was calling.
"Hey girlie! You still mad at me?" Jane asked.
"No. I'm not mad. I was never mad, mostly just annoyed," Michelle answered.
"So did you tell Shawn he didn't have to come with you to Boston tomorrow?"
"Well, I did text him to tell him that, but...I guess he's coming anyway."
"See, I told you he'd do anything to spend time with you, even moving furniture."
"Yeah, I know. You were right," Michelle admitted.
"Wow! You're admitting I'm right?"
"Yes, but don't let it go to your head," Michelle chuckled.
"So, what're you up to this morning?"
"Well, I went for a run and came back to take a shower so I can get ready to go to the gynecologist later this morning," she said as she sat down on her bed.
