As he gently held her face and looked into her eyes, the tears that had threatened to spill during that entire speech, began to slide down her cheeks. She had no idea he felt like this about her all this time. Her heart was so full it nearly explode...

As Shawn and Michelle drove back into the city from their trip to Woodbine Beach, they stopped at a Longo's supermarket to pick up a six pack of beer and a few snacks to bring back to their room and then drove to the parking garage on Wellington before taking the short walk to the hotel.
"What time are we supposed to meet your friends tonight hun?" Michelle asked.
"Brian texted me earlier and I told him we'd meet up around 8:30. We're going to C'est What for a few drinks and to eat. It's like a 10 minute walk from the hotel."
"Ok. So are any of your friends dating? Are they bringing dates or is it just you and me and they're all single?"
"Brian isn't dating anyone at the moment. Matt has some girl he's been seeing for a few weeks, but I don't know if she's coming with him tonight. And other than those two I don't know who else is showing up. A lot of my friends from Pickering aren't even close to Toronto anymore since they're in school all over Canada or in the States. I did run into a few that still live around here at the Leafs' game on Monday night, but I'm not sure they're coming."
"Alright, I was just wondering."
"Babe, it's fine. I'm not gonna leave you sitting by yourself while my friends are around. You know I'd never do that. I'm just excited for them to meet you. They know how crazy I am about you."
"You told your friends about me?"
"I told Brian and Matt about you last weekend when we went out for a few beers and to play pool, but they knew at Christmas break there was a girl I wanted but she wasn't at a place in life where I could tell her that. Like I said before, I was a mess because I missed you so much. I mean, I didn't let them see that side of me, but they knew there was someone on my mind."
"I know honey. You should've just called me," she smiled, wrapping her arms around his arm as they turned the corner onto Front Street.
"Things happen when they're supposed to happen, so I guess it just wasn't the time."
"I know. You're right."
Once they got back to the room, Shawn opened a beer and kicked his sneakers off before stretching out on the bed. "You want a beer Chelle?" he asked.
"No, I think I'm gonna make a cup of tea. I haven't had any caffeine today at all," she said as she walked over to make some in the Keurig. "I think I'll have one of those mini muffins you picked up at Longo's bakery though. You want one too?"
"Beer and muffins...no, I think I'll pass," he chuckled.
"Doritos? M&M's? Coffee, tea or me?" she smirked.
"How about I line up some of those M&M's on your hot bod and I'll have mine that way?"
"Maybe later. I'm tired," Michelle said as she sat down next to him on the bed with her tea.
