Shawn and Michelle were back from their mini-vacation over the 4th of July holiday and were immediately into the daily grind of work and school for the rest of the week. By that Friday, they were looking forward to a relaxing weekend and spent the evening at a couple of bars after they ate a casual dinner over at The Rosendale, which was a smaller bar and grille on Union Street that had a DJ most Friday nights. They just wanted to hang out, listen to some music and have a few drinks, so the bars they chose were not necessarily college hangouts, but more for the over 21 crowd. They were enjoying the music the DJ was playing, but as the place began to fill up with more and more people they left and walked over to The Eddy, which was a little less crowded at the moment and definitely an older crowd of young professionals.

"You know the last time I was here?" Michelle asked as she sipped her drink

"You know the last time I was here?" Michelle asked as she sipped her drink.

"I don't know babe, I've never been here with you before. So when was it?" Shawn asked.

"Girls night back in February...the same night you and Marcus walked us back to my apartment from Haven Brothers' Diner."

"Aaah yeah...that was a very good night, except for the part where I walked home and was completely crazed and sexually frustrated because I couldn't get you off my mind," he grinned.

"Well I think I've made it up to you since then," she replied, giving him a flirty wink.

"Yes honey, you certainly have."

"So I got a call from my personal injury lawyer today. The trucking company is still digging in their heels and aren't willing to settle on paying for their negligence and the wrongful deaths of the people in the accident. They're gonna tie this up in legal red tape for as long as possible. My case, as well as the other people who were injured or had their vehicles totaled, or both, are at the bottom of the list as far as when things might go to court or get settled."

"Well you have to let him take care of it sweetheart. You can't fret about it. I'm just glad you came out of that whole ordeal as well as you did."

"I know. I just thought maybe we'd be a little further along, but like my dad always tells me, 'the wheels of justice turn slowly'."

"It'll get taken care of all in good time Chelle," Shawn said, squeezing her hand.
