Kit scoffed at the loud-mouthed red neck shouting at everyone that they deserved this after getting into a heated argument with Glenn.

"a walker got Jim!" Jacqui shouted, catching everyone's attention. the men wasted no time circling him

"I'm okay. I'm okay." Jim pleaded

"show it to us," Daryl demanded, stepping closer. Jim quickly grabbed the shovel next to him, ready to swing at Daryl "easy, Jim," Shane ordered, stepping closer as well

"grab him," Daryl yelled t-dog ran up, quickly restraining him from behind; Daryl lifted his shirt revealing a bite. they all took a step back, Jim still muttering he was ok like a broken record

kit, and stood next to Shane as another round of "discussions" started. "I say we put a pickaxe in his head and the dead girls and be done with it," Daryl said, flailing his arms aggravated this was even needed to be discussed,

"Is that what you'd want if it were you?" Shane asked

"yeah, and I'd thank you while you did it." he sassed

"I hate to say it-i, never thought I would but maybe daryls right," dale mutters

"Jim is not a monster, dale, or some rabid dog." rick said, annoyed

"I'm not suggesting-"

"he's sick. A sick man. we start down that road, where do we draw the line."

"lines pretty clear. zero tolerance for walker or them to be." Daryl sassed again

"back me up on this kit." rick practically demanded, making the woman shift awkwardly.

"I can't," she said, refusing to look at him. Shane knew why he had to be there for her on nights a patient had chosen death, and it broke her heart.

"what, why?" rick asks, offended "rick-"Shane kit held up her hand to stop them both.

"I cant rick because it's always up to the patient when there is nothing left we can do, and death is inevitable. Even if that means we follow their request for an assistive suicide.." a lump formed in her throat. Shane rubbed her back.

"what? do you just kill them?" Lori asks appalled

"no, they are turned over to hospice which cares for them and gives them enough morphine to ease their pain as their bodies naturally take their course." Shane pulled kit closer to him, glaring at Lori, and rick cursed under his breath, feeling horrible for even asking her.

"ok, so if he chooses to live for a little longer than we need a game plan, we can't stay here. What if we can get him help? I heard the c.d.c. was working on a cure." rick says, changing the subject and giving kit an apologetic look.

"I heard that too. heard a lot of things before the world went to hell."

"what if the c.d.c. is still up and running?"

"man, that is a stretch right there" kit was honestly growing uncomfortable with the growing tension in the air between who should be best friends as they argued.

"why? If there's any structure at all, they'd protect the c.d.c. At all costs, wouldn't they? I think it's our best shot. shelter, protection, rescue."

"that will all be at fort Benning."

"that's 100 miles in the opposite direction."

"that's right, but it's away from the hot zone. Now listen to me if that place is operational. It'll be heavily armed. we'd be safe there."

"the military was on the front lines of this thing. They got overrun here. We've all seen that. Maybe a different more secluded fort but Benning, I doubt. But I don't know if you both are technically right. Either way, a decision needs to be made with an agreement, not just arguing," kit cut in, looking between both men who had their chests puffed at each other.

"you go looking for aspirin; someone needs to have some ball to take [Daryl charges at Jim ax raised] of this damn problem!" risk cocks his gun, pointing it at the back of daryls head

"Hey, we don't kill the living," Rick says as Shane goes to stand in front of Daryl.

"that's funny coming from a man who just put a gun to my head."

"we may disagree on some things, buts not this. You put it down. Go on."Shane adds Daryl aggressively throws down the ax before storming away.

Kit leaned against her hood, arms crossed and brows furrowed, as she watched Shane and Lori have a heated conversation, only for rick to end it before both men headed to her "kitten c.d.c.?" rick asked quickly, giving her a once over, making sure she was ok "I already said yes rick." he nodded giving her a small smile "I hear you have guns" kit stiffened both men mentally cursing.

"kitty cat, we went over this already. It ain't your fault it was decided as a group that they would be safe in your car till we made a plan." Shane stressed, cupping her face, both missing ricks clenched jaw as he looked away. "okay," kit whispered, unlocking her car and walking to the back, opening the truck for them.

"Jesus, kit you double up the last time I checked?" rick asked, chuckling

"Shane took me shooting a couple of times with different guns. I just got the ones I like," she shrugged

"and you did just fine, babydoll," Shane said with a wide prideful grin

"help yourselves. you boys seem to be in charge, but the bow is mine, and this-" she said reaching in and grabbing the crossbow and roll of bolts "your daddy's?" Shane asked,

"yeah, but I've always been more comfortable with just the bow. besides, I've happened to meet a wonderfully foul-mouthed redneck whom I'm sure would take better care of it than a trunk. excuse me" she kissed shanes cheek before walking away. Kitten is unaware of the fight the two men would have or Shane pointing a gun at Rick's back only minutes later.

Daryl was standing by his tent when she found him "Daryl."

"kitten," he replied, throwing a piece of wood he was widdling on the ground before facing her, taking the time to actually take in her appearance and figure. He would certainly be lying if he said he didn't like what he saw; he could only imagine the things his brother would say to the girl.

"here," she said, holding the bow and bolts out to him

"I already got one, miss priss," he spits

"mm, but this one is better. Also, It was the last one I bought for my daddy before he passed. I expect you to take care of it for me, Dixon," she says, unaffected by his attitude setting it down on the log between them. Daryl felt highly suspicious "what you want?" "Nothing," she shrugged before walking away and sitting down next to carl and Sophia by the fire pit. Daryl was sure he had never felt more confused in his entire life, and he had certainly never been given anything in his life. Certainly not something so nice either. Daryl looked down, smiling a little and shaking his head. He wasn't sure if it was the hot chick part or the Brainiac; either way, the girl was something strange to him.
