It was hard on the family for the first couple of months after Kit returned. They walked on eggshells around her, not wanting to set her off or give her more of a reason to flee, she refused to even sleep in the same bed as them, but they understood, so they did the only thing they could do; they waited. Little by little, she talked with others about her emotions, mainly Jesus, Maggie, and surprisingly Gabriel. When the due date drew closer, they decided they had to move to a bigger house, so they moved into Deanna's. And then, one day, she just woke up and took the boys to have a picnic in the field outside the walls where Jody and Kit used to go every morning; she forgave them even though she didn't entirely blame them; they were standing up for what they thought was right. And then, a week later, when Daryl and Rick returned from the sanctuary, they had purposely left a broken grappling gun on the counter; they had picked it up when they noticed all the books in the library she was reading to keep busy were spy books. She knew they had done it on purpose but was thankful they were still showing her they were there for her even when giving her space. A month before giving birth, she had another nightmare, but instead of Negan, it was herself in his place. Seeking out the only comfort she needed, she walked to the master bedroom where Daryl and rick were already sitting up, hearing her cries. she didn't even have to say anything for them to know they were forgiven when she crawled into bed in her place between them, their arms around her whispering all the loving words they had been saving for months while they waited, each having a hand on her swollen stomach as the baby kicked away. When the time came, and Kits water broke, it was complete chaos; Rick and Daryl ran around like chickens with their heads cut off. she didn't even understand what they were trying to do, even after she came back in from yelling down the street for someone to get Siddiq they were still running up and down the stairs, tossing things into bags. Kit was giving birth at home in the upstairs jacuzzi tub, so she just watched them humored as she waited.

She was, however anything but humored once the contractions started. Both Daryl and Rick demanded to be in the tub with her, leaving no room for Siddiq, so they had to follow directions as kits' nails dug into their shoulders, cursing them. After Eight excruciating hours, she gave birth to a little boy. They named him Theo James. As time passed, so did productions in Alexandria, the kingdom, and the hilltop. They all made good use of regs blueprints making a real functioning home for themselves. The Sanctuary lacked in all aspects no matter how hard Eugene, Merle, and Rosita kept working at it with the group there. And Negan, well, he was still locked away. He did get visits, mainly from Rick and Jody, sometimes even Gabriel wanting a confession. But never Kit.

-2 years Later-

While Tj took his morning nap, kit sat on their porch with Judith painting together. kit had just squeezed out more of the red acrylic paint, Judith's brush scooping up a good amount and putting it on her picture. " That's better. It was very drippy before."  she said, satisfied

kit chuckled "was it? That's ok. It just adds more character."

"I was gonna make it into a heart, like the one on daddy Daryl."

"ooh, good choice, that is a nice heart. Go ahead." she pointed, watching her focusing hard.

"See, now it looks like it's dripping from the heart, but that's ok cause it's just too full," Judith explained.

"that must be a lot of love" kit softly smiled; she could see Lori and Shane in the little girl more and more every day as she grew. "who are all these people?"

"That's our house. And aunt Maggie and uncle Glenn. and the King and all our friends." Judith threw her arms out happily

"I see; that is a lot of love."

"Who are those two grumpy faces?" Rick asked from behind them

Judith looked back at him shyly, smiling " you and daddy Daryl do a grumpy little face."
