"Our community is more than capable of defending itself!" Jesus yelled back to the bald-headed woman who stood just outside the outer garden gates.
"I show you my face because we mean you no harm. I just want my daughter. I know you have her." Alpha dismissed the light threat.
"You should turn around. Leave now, and no one gets hurt." Daryl pressed.
"Wrong answer." Alpha replied and raised her arm in the air; a whole herd of walkers or humans, Kit wasn't even sure which was which came out from around the cornfield, revealing themselves. Kit crossed her arms, squinting as she scrutinized the bunch.
"My Sister and Merle are in the corn stocks; they don't see them. At least not yet." Kelly whispered, lowering the binoculars she was looking thru.
"What the hell is your idiot of a brother doing out there." Kit lowly hissed, not taking her eyes off the group.
"Be'n stupid," Daryl grumbled.
"We can't give her back to that woman." Kit said, her eyes focusing back on Alpha.
"We ain't," Daryl agreed.
"Yeah, but what if she has Alden and luke," Carl asked from the far side of the platform next to Kelly.
"He's right; pissing her off can get them killed." Jesus agreed
"Did you kill our friends? We found their horses." Magna asked
"No. Which one of you leads these people?" Alpha asked
"What the hell does it matter?" Daryl growled, a finger looping thru one of kits belt loops to help him keep a level head.
"Then I'll just address all of you." She sassed with a tone to match it. "Your people crossed into our land. There will be no conflict. Your people killed our people. There will be no conflict. I'm done talkin'. Bring me my daughter, or there will be conflict."
"What a bitch." Kit muttered, climbing off the platform and storming towards the closed gate.
"No one touches the girl," Daryl growled as he climbed back down the platform after her, Carl, Kelly, and Tara following them, pleading for them to stop whatever they were going to do.
The guards immediately cracked open the gates when they saw a pissed-off Kit headed their way. "You know we've lived in this area for years, traveled near and far, and not once have we ever encountered any of you. You claim it's your land, yet you neglected to send a little hey neighbor just moved to the area. Instead, you pulled a creepy ass stunt." Kit sassed, speaking to the woman for the first time as she walked towards her. "So I gotta ask freak squad, you wanna use an old nickname where's my god damn welcome basket." she grinned with a challenging glint, stopping right at the outer gate.
"Reaper-" Alpha greeted, taking a step forward, ignoring Daryl as he stormed up the path behind kit.
Kit held her hand out to stop the woman. "That's close enough. I can smell your dirty vag from here."
Alpha scowled at the woman before turning her head slightly to the man next to her " Go get em'" The man turned to the group nodding his head to the others. Two other people walked away towards the corn stalks.
Daryl's feet scuffed the dirt as he stopped next to his wife, glaring at Alpha. "You can't have her. Now, if it's a fight you're lookin' for, we got enough firepower to light you up. Right here and now." Daryl growled
"We do always love a good fight." Kit cooed
A woman in their group towards the back started to shift as the baby in her arms began fussing; kit's eyes focused on the woman or, more so, the sliver of skin she could see of the baby wrapped up in a ratty brown cloth.
