Kit had a grimace of her own as she tried not to laugh at daryls face as he picked up a riot helmet, the slimy substance of decay dripping out of it onto the table as she put back a flash bang grenade. "I ain't wearing this shit."

T-dog held up a glove, more decomposition running out "we could boil em'" kit finally lost it, Daryl elbowing her. It, of course, had no effect. It only egged her on.

"ain't enough firewood in the whole forest. No. besides, we made it this far without em' right? Sides, look at the doc. She hardly wears full shirts even when she's got em' she's done fine," Daryl snorted.

"oh hush, sleeveless wonder," she snarked, rolling her eyes and elbowing him back.

"kit," beth called, nodding for her to follow

"everything all right?" rick asked.

"Yeah. Nothin' to worry about," she meekly replied, giving jimmy a small smile before leaving. kit sighed, and rick gave her a pointed look to behave as she grabbed her med bag heading up to Lori's cell

"it's the baby. I think I lost it."

"felt it move lately?"

"nothing. And no Braxton hicks. at first, I thought it was exhaustion or malnutrition."

"sounds like your anemic."

"if we're all infected, then so is the baby. So what if it's stillborn? What if it's dead inside me right now? what if it rips me apart?"

"Jesus, Lori, enough. Remember what I always tell carl? don't let your fears have control?" Lori sniffled, nodding, "Then let's say it lives, and I die during childbirth."

"Not likely. it would have to be some freak incident cause I know what I'm doing even if it has to be another C-section."

"if I turn, you can't hesitate to put me down," she cried "it might have been better if-"

"if what?"

"I'd never made it off the farm. I know you know kit Hershel told me I just I-" she sobbed. Kit grabbed the 22 "he loved you so much, and I just wanted to feel anything, but then when he started calling your name-"

"Lori, I'm trying my best not to snap right now, and I just stopped plotting how to hurt you back a couple of months ago. I suggest you stop."

"I know. I'm sorry. I also know you only agreed to my request because it might be a part of Shane, and that's ok. he would be proud of how far you've come. Hell, even rick and carl look up to you; they always have. Carl can't stand me and rick. I'm sure you and everyone else has noticed."

"We all have baggage, Lori. but maybe if you played the support card and stopped comparing rick to a dead man, things would be different."

"he won't even talk to me."

"give him time. I chilled mostly....after a couple of months," Lori snorted, nodding "now can I check you, or are you going to go on another prego rant?" Lori chuckled nodded

kit leaned against the wall messing with carl, who was playing with a clean helmet as the men geared up. kit not being allowed to go seeing as she was considered a very vital member, especially with the baby due at any moment. Kit didn't mind like she usually did as her breasts were aching something awful today. She walked over to her quiver, pulling out the remaining emergency arrow/ bolt combo kit and Daryl had made together. They were the smallest her bow would allow and the longest his crossbow would allow. They only ever used them when ammo was low, and they were in dire need as they were slightly awkward. Usable, of course, just not what they were used to. They had different effects than what they usually used, whether that be less power or distance. she approached him, sliding them into his, their eyes locking in silent thanks before hers moved down to the vest she loved "you better come back unharmed I would hate to have to hunt down your corpse just to be able to wear that vest at least once." she sighed airily
