Kit stood under the water, feeling all the grime, sweat and dirt run off her body and hair with the soap; the feeling alone was extremely satisfying. arms wrapped around her waist. "I'm sorry, kitty cat," Shane mumbled into her neck, the vibrations almost tickling; she sighed, turning in his arms to face him . "you just have to remember to enjoy the good when we can. it's rare now." she said softly, stroking his cheek

"I know I just get so caught up in your safety that I forget." she gave him a small, sad smile before gently pecking his lips. he gave her a cheesy drunken smile, his now slick hands gliding up and down the sides of her body. "I'll wash you; you wash me?" she laughed.

"I already washed you just took forever. Come find me when you're done, and just maybe we can try that doctor-patient thing." she winked before rushing back to their room, laughing at his now rushed actions.

Dressing in a thin tank top and pajama shorts, she made her way to the rec room, passing Daryl along the way, who tried to not make it obvious he was checking her out, taking in her exposed skin and tattoos, and drunk from the way she was unable to walk in a straight line.

Kit plopped down next to carol on a love seat behind Sophia, making carl snicker as it was becoming apparent the wine was kicking in "oh shush," she sassed laughing, both kids snickering as kit and carol started chatting, the older woman thoroughly enjoying the drunken doctors rambling as Lori walked in.

"any good books?

"uh-huh" "god, just the thought of trying to read right now," Carol said, and kit whined. Carol chuckled but having a quick peek at Lori and the contemplative look she was giving kit; she really didn't want to be there. She liked kit, and it made her feel guilty knowing the woman was still in the dark along with rick.

"all right, come on, kids, it's bedtime," Carol said, standing

"baby go say your prayers. I'm gonna talk to kit for a minute," Lori told carl. Kit internally whined but stood anyway, kissing Carl's head as he headed out of the room, closing the door behind him.

"kit, I just want to say how sorry I am. for before with the coma."

"I'm over it, Lori. I'm just glad he's okay. stubborn assholes as lucky as they come to still be alive."

"I wanted to say thank you as well for everything you do for carl-"

"Lori, stop. I love carl. He's my bestfriends son. Even if I'm beyond pissed at you or rick, that wouldn't ever stop me from being there for him." Lori gave her a small thankful smile before a guilt-ridden frown took over her face.

"I've been meaning to talk to you about Shane-"

said man walking in with a bottle of whiskey in hand, making Lori freeze "there you are, kitty cat, I've been looking for you," he playfully chimed, walking to kit "left me high and dry doll gotta pay up on that promise" he bent down throwing her over his shoulder, kit let out a drunken hysterical laugh completely missing the crazed death glare Shane sent Lori before he left the room a drunk kit still laughing.

The following day kit woke very sore and hungover she peaked at Shane, who was still sleeping, his arm lazily draped around her waist. She carefully lifted his arm, groaning as she got up, definitely feeling the effects from last night; most of it was a blur, but what she could remember would have a blushing priest trying to cleanse her of her sins. She got dressed and kissed Shane's head, letting him know she was going to eat, chuckling at the aftermath of his back as she left, thankful she wasn't the only one with marks. When kit got there, she got a piece of toast and juice and kissed carl's head as she walked by "morning, short stack" "morning, aunt k," he said with a sly smile as she sat down, "don't you start" she whined taking a bite of toast playfully glaring at the boy rewarding her with a laugh from not only him but a couple of the adults as well.
