I forgot to include this but special mention to Hufflepuff_Detective (again) for voting on every chapter!<3
Also, HAPPY NEW YEAR! I am dreading Jan 24th because I'm going into middle school; new friends and stuff.
We all turned at the sound of the voice. A man stood in the doorway. He was rather round and his expression was utter disgust.
"What're you doin' here?" he repeated. Hazel swayed.
"Oh, you see, our friend is not feeling her best," said Alexander quickly. The man peered at Hazel. "She your girlfriend?" the man asked. Hazel immediately stopped moving. I kicked her and she swayed again, this time, her face was screwed up as if in pain. Non-sense. My kicks never hurt. Or so Bertie had told me.
The man waited. None of us spoke. "Lis'en, you kids don't know what's been happenin' here," he finally said. "I-My wife was...killed." My mind worked quickly.
"So that would make you Mr Blueberry?" I asked. The man's eyes widened, not with fear, but with amusement.
"You heard the news? What, you think you kids are gonna solve the case?" However dumb the man looked, he had made me reveal what our real purpose was for. I silently pinched myself. Ow.
But it was no use denying it now.
"So what?" I said defensively. "We can solve the case. We've solved over 10 murders, one including a wife and a husband as well, and you know what? The husband also took part in the murder." That shook him.
"You gonna sleep here?" he asked.
"No. I am the Honourable Daisy Wells and I am taking my friends with me to Fallingford," I said.
"Alright," he grunted. "This is the team that's going to solve the crime?"
He glanced around dismissively.
"No," I said confidently. "Lavinia, George and Kitty are waiting outside."
Mr Blueberry looked defeated. "Alright then," he said. He turned and exited out of the room.
"Say, what about we go peeking around and start the suspect list?" I asked. Everyone agreed.

We met our first suspect in the kitchen. An old lady was cooking different meals, and it all looked delicious. I immediately thought, what if she had poisoned the victim? She looked rather nice though.
She saw us and jumped up with a shock. "Wh-Who are you?" she stammered.
"Hello there," I said, using my charm. "I'm Daisy, that's Hazel, Alexander and that over there is Beanie." We all waved slowly with pasty smiles.
The lady's eyes narrowed. "If you are the press, get out of here. I already told you I had nothing on why she died." For an old woman, she certainly had a brave soul.
"You have nothing to fear," said Hazel reassuringly. "We're not the press, we're detectives. We've come to solve the murder. Mr Blueberry allowed us."
At that, the old lady softened. "I'm Ms Haulings. This is my kitchen," she said. "I am so glad you people are here. The murderer must not get away. Mrs Blueberry was kind and she didn't deserve to have her life ended at such a young age." Our eyes bulged. Was this true? Could we weasel more important information out of Ms Haulings?
