Larry's POV:
After our honeymoon instead of returning back to the pack Laurent wanted to take a couple extras days just for ourselves didn't make sense beings we just had a full week to ourselves but I wasn't going to say anything.
His excuse was wants we return he will be in the office from the moment we return so I (being him) want to be selfish just this once.
It truly didn't matter to me mainly because his mother will be acting Luna till after I have the pups.
Which I guess is something his family agreed to without discussing it with me first. And at first I was pissed qhen I found out but soon realized Laurent did it to protect our pups and me from overwhelming myself and stressing myself out.
True the Luna duties can be stressful but that is my job as Luna to our pack. But I didn't want to stress Laurent out anymore than he will be once we grt back to the packhouse.
But first thing is first it is my Dr. appointment today and Laurent can hardly sit still waiting for the time to hurry up so we can leave.
His inability to sit still is comical and his asking is it time to leave ia hilarious I can only imagine what he is going to be like when its time to have our pups.
He would probably have to be slightly sedated just so the Dr. can do his job. I giggled quietly to myself as Laurent once again came into the living room asking if it is time to go.
My poor, poor Alpha/mate. So impatient but in a good way. I cannot think of s better father for our pups then an Alpha with compassion.
When it was finally time to head to the doctors Laurent could hardly hold his excitement in. The smile he was sporting was a face splitting one and his eyes twinkled with happiness.
I knew Beast was trying to come forward because Laurent's eyes kept shifting between his dark chocolate to his midnight black ones. I understood Beast wanting to be here for this appointment because Blaze has tried inching his way through also.
Once we arrived at the pack hospital and checked in the doctor didn't take long to call me back to the Luna suite where my exam will be held.
Normally if I was any other wolf other than the Luna my exam would have been in a regular hospital but because I am not I am taken to the Luna suite.
After talking to the doctor for a few minutes about any symptoms or pain I may be having he asked me to lift up my shirt.
Poor doctor I thought Laurent would kill him to took a lot to calm him down.
'Laurent I have to lift my shirt barely above my bellybutton so the doctor can do another ultrasound.' I repeated over and over before he calmed down enough so that the doctor can do his job.
I already knew Laurent would be difficult not only because he is an Alpha but also because of what had happened to me he is so afraid that something else will happen he has taken his overprotectivness to a level not yet classified.
I held his hand trying to keep him calm as the doctor put that damn ice cold gel on my belly.
Why is that sh*t so damn cold? I ask myself.
One heartbeat after another began their hypnotic sound filling the room with the rhythmically echoes of pups heartbeat.
Laurent squeezed my hand as he listened enthusiastically at their heartbeats. Both Blaze and I smiled to ourselves knowing we were able to truly make Laurent and Beast exceptionally happy.
'Mate is going to be the best father.' Blaze said as we watched Laurent's eyes grew wide with happiness.
'Do you want to know the genders'? The doctor asked bringing me out of my daze I was in staring at my happy mate.
"Yes" 'No' Laurent and I said at the same time. We srared at each other for a few minutes before answering the doctor again.
"No" 'Yes' we said again this time laughing at our answers.
'No I don't want to know doctor' I said. 'But yes if Laurent wants to know'. I told him.
I personally wanted it to be a surprise especially since we only have a month left before we get to meet our pups.
"No doctor my Luna doesn't want to know so we will wait." Laurent told the doctor surprising both the doctor and I. Well I guess the doctor more than me.
'Thank you Laurent.' I told him. I wasn't sure exactly what I was thanking him for but for some reason a thank you felt like the right thing to say.
'You only have a month so make sure you take good care of yourself.' The doctor said before Laurent and I left the hospital and headed towards the packhouse.
I know his family wants to know the genders of the pups but they will have to wait just like the rest of us. It's not like they have to wait long.
As aoon as we walked into the packhouse before we even got a chance to put done our luggage we were bombarded by his family asking question after question not taking a breath in between their questions.
I laughed as Laurent tried to calm his overly excited mother and grandmother. His grandfather just stood beside his mate listening to Laurent explain how we chose to wait till the pups were born to know the genders.
'Why are you waiting?' His mother Sami asked dramatically. I couldn't help but smile at her.
'We want to know so we can throw a baby shower.' His grandmother said.
"You can still throw a baby shower for your grandpups because both Larry and I have decided that even if we have girls they will be wearing mostly gender neutral colors". He said
'Besides they are triples so we will most likely have two of one gender and one of the other gender, that's is why we have decided to go wwith the neutral colors'. I said earning a smile from both his mother and grandmother.
His grandfather just nodded at us agreeing with what both Laurent and I had said.
'What about the nursery?' 'Is that going to be gender neutral too?' His grandfather Samuel asked.
'Good question'. I said not realizing I said it out loud.
"What do you want Larry?" Laurent asked. I stared at the four wolves in front of me thinking about this simple question like I was solving a life threatening disease.
On one hand if we had girls they might want soft and baby pink. On the other hanf if we had boys they might want blue's and pale greys.
But being triples they might want what their siblings have no matter the gender.🤔🤔🤔
'Um I think we should paint the nursery with a beautiful scenery on the walls in light green, yellow & grey and baby blue's and pink's.' I said smiling at the four wolves.
"Looks like everything for the pups from clothing to the nursery will be gender neutral." Laurent said happily.
