Larry's POV:

After I linked Laurent I felt Beasts anger and his shifting through our mate bond. I knew he could feel my anxiousness and worry. Both Laurent and Beast have been on edge ever since the council asked to meet me.

Laurent still isn't aware that even if he links to someone else that's not me zi can hear everything they say.

Before you get ahead of yourselves no I am not intentionally keeping it from Laurent. The reason I haven't told him about my special abilities is because we have gone through so much since we met and have yet to be abke to finish a full conversation. I will tell him after this meeting with the council.

I waited in our room with our pups and his grandmother for Laurent to return to our room before heading to his office. His grandmother and mother offered to watch our pups and I reluctantly agreed. No it's not because I don't trust his mother or grandmother it's because I don't want to leave my pups.

As soon as Beast came into our room he shifted and got dressed quickly. Held out his hand to me which I gladly took we kissed our pups and walked out our room together.

The smell from the different supernatural creatures that make up the council wafted throughout the packhouse causing my stomach to become queasy.

I knew that the council was made up of different supernatural creatures like witches, werewolves, vampires, elves etc... But I didn't know each one of them was coming here to try and force Laurent to let them meet me.

Why they want to meet me is still a mystery to me.

Why me?

Laurent, Beast and Blaze always tells me that I'm special but how special they couldn't tell me.

Yes I am all male but am able to give birth to my own pups.

Yes Blaze and I can heal quicker than most wolves.

Yes Blaze and I can change our coat color and scent to get away from predators and until I met Laurent I thought that was normal.

And even knowing all this I still don't understand why they insist on meeting me. As we got closer to the banquet hall (Laurent chose the banquet hall instead of his office because of the size difference and he thought I would feel more comfortable in the larger area.) I was becoming more anxious.

Laurent squeezed my hand  tightly trying to help me calm down a little the closer we got to the hall. He could feel my heartbeat and my anxiety slowing down calmly. As we stood in front of the large doors I could Beast and Blaze shifting forward in Laurent and I not to take over just to let the council neither one of them will allow anything to happen to me.

Surprising me that Blaze was being respectful at the moment especially after what happened a couple weeks ago and because of what happened to me Beast isn't going to be to nice if they try to do something that caused me to uncomfortable.

I felt for Laurent and Beast because they still blame themselves even after Blaze and I told them countless times it wasn't their fault. Unfortunately that's what happens when you have an Alpha (or really any high ranking wolf as mate) as a mate their guilt from not being able to take care of their mate weighs heavier on them than anyone really knows. The internal battle they have with thems can last till the end of their time.

Sighing heavily we walked into the banquet hall to find about forty-five maybe fifty supernatural creatures impatiently waiting for us. Ignoring their eyes on us we walked hand in hand to the head of the table motioning them to take their seats.

Before I could get comfortable question after question started being thrown my way without allowing me to answer any of them. I sat nervously trying to hold Blaze back from forcing a partial shift. He anger was growing and even after Laurent warned them they still continued with the questions that was until a very short cute woman with stunning bluish-black hair with matching eyes asked a question I hadn't had ask since I was five.

'What makes you a good mate and Luna'? She asked softly causing Laurent/Beast to growl out roughly. I linked him and told him she didn't ask in a disrespectful manor. He looked puzzled for a moment then nodded his at me then looked back at the petite woman waiting for me to answer.

'Well um...what makes me a good mate and Luna is the fact that I AM Laurent's fated mate automatically making me his Luna'. I told her calmly. I wasn't sure about the other council members but this woman calmed both myself and Blaze down the moment she started asking us questions. Plus there is something very familiar about her.

'Just because you are fated mates doesn't mean you will be a good mate or Luna'. A rude man said causing growls to escape both mine and Laurent's mouth.

'Yea it's unheard of because of bass-ackwards or old school thinking'. I told them causing some to smirk. 'If you have ever just let the true fated mates be together you would find the supernatural world would be more at peace.' I said looking at each one of them in their eyes before finishing what I had to say. 'If you truly cared about the creatures you are sworn to protect you wouldn't force the fated mates to be rejected.' I said standing up followed by Laurent and his grandfather Samuel.

I have always believed in everything the Moon Goddess has done for us and we as her descendants need to accept what she had put in our path for example "true fated mates"...

As soon as we walked out the banquet hall I heard the door open again and the woman that had asked me her questions respectfully walked out staring at us three before her eyes landed on just me.

'Larry can we talk'? She asked softly causing Laurent to growl. I patted his hand linking him telling him she will not hurt me. At first he didn't want to let go my hand and I understand why but there is some inviting and calming about her.

'Yes'. I told her walking towards the kitchen with her following me. I linked Laurent to go check on our pups and that I will be in the kitchen if he needed to chevk on me later.

'What did you want talk about'? I asked. I have never had the patients to just sit and wait for some one.

She sighed then started talking, we talked about my family that had been destroyed by rogues, hunters and even our own pack members. My chest restricted at the mention of my family (not the ones in the cells) that was slaughtered or wolfnapped and made into slaves because of our powers. Very few packs believed we were the direct descendants of the Moon Goddess and because of their ignorance my pack was overran by betrayal. I didn't know anyone in the council knew about my family.

We stayed in the kitchen talking, crying and eating for five or six hours before we called it a night and headed off to our rooms. To my disappointment Laurent let the council members stay inside the packhouse for a few days while "we talked". Sighing I walked into our room to find my mate and pups cuddled up on our bed watchi a movie. I smiled staring at my family this is just what I needed to end this day.
