Phoenix pup's?

Laurent's POV:

I understood why Larry didn't want to talk about our pup's.

The whole thing was confusing.

I had asked Talon to explain a little more to me once Larry had gone to sleep and what his explanation was, well shocking to put it mildly.

Apparently his creator believes that only one of my pup's from our second set of triplets is mine and Larry's. He believes that the other two belong to Phoenix and Alaric.

Now beings we are all supernatural creatures and can make babies all the time, yet over hundreds of years neither Phoenix or Alaric had ever had a baby, the possibility is yes they could be the parents.

It's all confusing yet it makes sense in a way.

I shook my head trying to figure out how I'm going to explain this to Larry.

He's already afraid of losing our pup's the last thing I want is for him to feel like he will lose them more than ever after I explain it at least try to explain this to him.

I had asked Alaric about the possibility of he and Phoenix being the parents and just like me his answer was there is always a possibility.

'Laurent, why aren't you sleeping'? 'I can feel your mind running'. I heard say in his sleepy voice.

"I learned something tonight and I'm having a hard time trying to find the right way to tell you". I told him honestly.

Larry could just listen to my thoughts or read my mind without even trying and he would find out what Talon and I had discussed already. It's best to just come right out and tell him.

'What did you learn that is preventing you from sleeping'? Larry asked sounding more awake now.

"Um, well". I started but paused. How do I tell my mate that two of our pup's possibly belong to someone else?

"Um, well you see". "Talons creator believes that two of our pups might not belong to us". I told him whispering the last part, earning me a ground shaking, window cracking growl from him.

I knew he would be upset, because I am too, but the possibilities of Phoenix and Alaric being the parents of two of my pup's actually makes sense. We share a body, a mind, and a soul, why wouldn't we share a pup?

'What do you mean, two of my pup's might not be mine'? Larry asked slowly and threateningly calm.

I swallowed hard and repeated to him exactly what Talon had told me earlier. Without skipping a beat Larry laid back down grinning at me and said. 'Yea I kinda thought that to, especially after I spoke to Phoenix and she explained to me that, that might be why there is no documentation, no record of our second set of triplets'. Larry explained calmly.

"Larry can I talk to Phoenix for a little bit". I asked him softly. I felt him shake his head no. My eye brow raised at his response, so I asked him why.

"Care to tell me why not"? I asked waiting for him to answer me.

'Phoenix is trying to save all her strength for the upcoming war'. 'The closer the dark witch gets the more Phoenix energy drains'. Larry explained.

"Oh, okay". I answered. It made sense especially knowing that the dark witch used some of Phoenix essence to track her down wherever she resurrected.

"Larry I want to apologize for everything I did whether consciously or unconsciously". "I hurt you way's I should never had hurt you". "I truly am sorry". I told him hurt and guilt ran throughout my heart.

My mate.

My love.

My Luna.

My Larry is everything I have ever wished for in a mate and I couldn't stop letting my stubbornness see it feel that my beautiful love was hurting because of me.

'I forgive you'. Larry said. I wanted to say something else but a link from my Beta and grandfather stopped me.

'Alpha'

'Laurent'.

'We are under attack'. They both in unison.

I quickly jumped out of bed and explained everything to Larry asking him to link Jackson and explain everything as Miguel and I got my pup's ready to leave.

I was going to leave Larry and my pup's at the house but after the attack earlier I don't want my family to far from me.

Jackson, Miguel and I can protect them all  if they were at the packhouse with us.

"Miguel you will take three of my pup's in the van". "Jackson you will take my other three pup's in your car". "Larry and I will follow closely but to close to grow suspicion from whomever is attacking us". "If you feel that it is unsafe to return to the packhouse with my pup's you both know what to do". I explained with finality.

'What do mean they know what to do'? Larry asked concern lacing his words. Sh*t we forgot to let Larry know the plans we came up with just in case. I sighed and explained to Larry what the plans were.

"Both Jackson and Miguel will be taking three of our pup's in different directions, neither of them told me where and thanks to Meridia, no one will no where they are taking our pup's, not even me". "This is a just in case scenario". "After what Talon told us we didn't want to take any chances". I explained whispering the last part. My body burn with hatred for those that are after my mate and now my pup's.

'Oh'. Was all Larry said as his Phoenix head.  'I advice you two take extremely good care of my pup's or it won't be a pleasant end for either of you'. Larry stated sternly, flames burned behind his eyes and I knew Phoenix was surfacing.

'Scarlett is close'. I heard Larry say, but it wasn't Larry's voice it was Phoenix.

'I can feel the dark magic'. Jackson said I nodding my head and gave them my curt understanding that it was time to go.

'Take care my lovelies'. Phoenix said. Sparkle like dust landed the vehicle masking the scents of everyone inside.

'I made it look as though they are just humans'. Phoenix explained as we began to drive towards the packhouse.  I sighed feeling relieved that maybe just maybe my pup's, Jackson and Miguel will be safe.

'You can't think like that my love'. 'Our pup's will be fine'. 'Take a deep breath and tell me if you can smell any wolves or other supernatural creatures close by'. Larry said. I did as he said and what surprised me is not only can I not smell any wolves I also cannot smell any other supernatural creatures.

"How" I asked shocked.

'That's Nephilim's supernatural power's. Larry said like it was something everyone already knew. I drove still shocked not being able to smell the seven's wolf's, and a vampire hybrid that are in front of me. Nor can I smell my mate next to me.

'I cannot smell you either'. I heard Larry through our link.

"Miguel take a deep breath can you smell anything or anyone"? I asked through our link.

'No Alpha'. 'Not even your pup's'. He replied sounding confused.

"That was Phoenix and Nephilim". "Don't worry it's to further add protecting for not just my pup's, but you as well". I told cutting the link.

'You ready'? Larry asked. I watched as we got closer to the packhouse. His aura began to turn darker and sparks of flames started to engulf him. I nodded feeling both Alaric and Beast coming forward.

"Let's end this". I said sternly stopping the car right outside the pack's gate.
