Larry's POV:
Three days after the war...
It took awhile for me to realize it truly was my Laurent standing at his office door, but once the fog lifted I knew right away everything was finally over.
No more trying to hide Phoenix from crazy people that had been after her for centuries. No hiding the fact that I am in fact the other biological father of my six pup's. Even though Phoenix is the mother.
The Moon Goddess visited us explaining everything to us. It took a while to fully understand, but in truth Phoenix had already explained it to me so it shouldn't have taken so long to understand that my second set of triplets were in fact more Phoenix than they were mine.
Speaking of pup's they're all up walking around, terrorizing the packhouse and their Godparents.
Speaking of Godparents. Jackson and Egon adopted two hybrid supernatural creatures shortly after the war. Their are the cutest little fur balls with wings. Jackson named them after Beast and Blaze, at first I thought he was joking but nope he really named his babies after Laurent and my wolf's. Crazy vampire.
Larry's POV:
Thirteen years later...
A knock at my office door brought me out of my memories...
I smelt who was on the door and smiled. Phoenix has been spending more and more time with me here in the office learning all about pack life and the in's and out's of how to run it.
Laurent and I had asked if he was thinking about becoming the Alpha and his answer was no, but he also said he didn't mind understanding how to run a pack just in case he needed to.
Laurent and I had talk about which one of our pup's we were going to appoint as the Alpha when Laurent retires and unfortunately we never came with an answer. We don't want our pup's to fight for the position and because we have girls they can also take over the pack and become Alpha if they choose to.
'Dad'.. I heard Phoenix yell out, bringing me out of my thoughts.
'Sorry son'. 'What can I do for you Phoenix'. I asked already knowing the answer. When ever he helps me in the office he asks if I can shift into Phoenix so they can spend some time together. At first it hurt, but the hurt quickly disappeared when I understood why he wanted to spend time with her. She is after all his mother.
'Can I ask you something personal'? He asked sounding shy. I nodded my head not wanting to interrupt him.
'Um, how do you know when you found your mate'? He asked in a whispered voice.
'What'? I almost yelled towards him. I cleared my throat and asked him more calmly.
'Why would you ask that'? I asked him.
'Dad, please don't get upset okay'. He said calmly. 'I get this fuzzy feeling whenever uncle Jackson brings Blaze around'. He said, his cheeks turning a slight pink. I smiled at him, trying to figure out am I going to explain this to him without upsetting him.
'Um, well um'. Was all I was able to get out before I felt his anxiety rolling off of him.
'Phoenix, whatever you are feeling is completely normal'. 'And if you are already feeling this way, that might mean Blaze is your mate'. 'But you are to young for a mate right now'. I explained to him. I watched as he nodded his head, and tried to hide the hurt in his eyes. Guilt stabbed my heart for hurting him.
'I talked to mom and she said the same thing'. 'I just, it's just every time he leaves my heart feels like it's being stabbed'. He said.
'Come here'. I told him opening my arms. I held him tightly, caressing his back.
