Laurent's POV:

I linked my Beta and told him I needed him to inform Alpha Diondre that I needed to talk to him privately.

As soon as Beast ended Savannah's life I knew he had felt it, but what surprised me was Alpha Diondre never came to my office to look for me or to even look for his mate.

I sat in my office almost dumbfounded, but quickly brushed it off. Maybe they had decided to reject each other and that's why he never came looking for me. Either way, I still needed to talk to him.

Shortly after I requested my Beta to inform Alpha Diondre that we needed to talk. Alpha Diondre came to my office.

At first I wasn't sure how I was supposed to inform him that my wolf ended his mate's life. And before I had a chance to explain everything to him, he surprised me by telling me he already what had happened, and why it happened.

Apparently Savannah wasn't his true mate', but someone that the supernatural council had been looking for, for reason he said he couldn't explain just yet.

I decided to tell him that about a year ago I had destroyed the supernatural council for personal reasons and that the Royals knows about it. I watched as he nodded his head, but kept quiet for what seemed like an eternity before he spoke again.

I knew about the destruction of the supernatural council and the reason behind it. You see I work for the Royals and my job is to keep an ear and an eye on the packs for potential problems. I held up my hand to stop him from talking I needed answer, which I knew he was going to give me, but a question popped into my head as soon as he said he job was to watch pack's for potential problems. Did that include my mate's pack? That question I needed answered.

"Alpha Diondre, when did you get the job as pack spy"? I asked him. I watched his face morph into an uncomfortable one. I held up my hand because I wasn't finished asking him my questions.

"Did it have anything to do with the destruction of SnowHeart Pack"? I asked him calmly.

"I have other questions but those two I need answered first. He nodded his head took a deep breath and began to speak.

'As you know Alpha Laurent, your mate's pack was destroyed not just by it's pack members but also other supernatural creatures'. He said, I nodded my head yes agreeing with him.

'Because of that fact, the Royals asked a few of it's supernatural creatures that they ruled over, to become spies 'as you put it', so that they could figure out what the wolves and other supernatural creatures were after'. He said, sighing heavily, then continued. 'My true mate was part of SnowHeart Pack when she was a child, before the destruction of SnowHeart'. 'Her family was transferred to my pack and has been living within my pack ever since the destruction of her's'. 'While she grew up, the Royals found out about the true Heir to SnowHeart Pack'. 'Everyone believed him to be dead or captured, because of what some of the previous pack members had said, including my mate and her family'. 'For the longest time, the supernatural council and the Royals stopped looking for the Heir of SnowHeart, that was until the dark witches sightings throughout the pack territories'. He said sounding depressed.

"Alpha Diondre". "Why didn't you say anything when we first met"? I asked him.

'The Royals wanted me to keep an watchful on those in your pack before I could tell you anything'. 'Especially after the wolfnapping of your mate. He said the last part almost in a whispered voice. I nodded my head, hearing a throat clearing beside me. I shook awaiting for the questions to come.

'If you knew about Larry being wolfnapped'. Jackson said breathing angrily. 'Why didn't any of you step in to help him'? Jackson gritted out.

'We worked undercover'. 'Even the supernatural council wasn't aware that we actually did not work for them'. Diondre said.

'That does not answer my question'. 'Why could you not step in and rescue Larry'? Jackson gritted out. I heard Diondre sigh and then answered him.

'The Royals were kept in the dark about Luna Larry's wolfnapping'. 'The pervious Alpha of this pack had even told the Royals that the wolf was not wolfnapped'. 'That in fact he had been found wondering the streets lost'. Diondre said. I growled shaking the windows and my office door.

"So that is why we didn't get any help looking for Larry"? I gritted out at no one.

'After the Royals came here, because of one of our pack spies had informed them of Luna Larry's wolfnapping and once he was found, how the council was mistreating him in his own pack'. Diondre explained.

"Okay, well that explains some things, but I have a question for you". "How come you pretended to be Savannah's mate"? I asked him cautiously. I heard him sigh and then answered my question.

'We had a feeling Savannah was looking for the rightful Heir to SnowHeart Pack'. 'Because our spies that are still in the area, had noticed her almost every day in the pack territory'. 'When one of our spies asked her if she needed help, Savannah had mentioned she had lost her friend'. 'The spy informed the Royals and we had been trying to capture her ever since'. He explained.

"Wait" "You said that the spy noticed her at the pack territory every day, and one finally asked if she needed help". "Savannah just simply said she had lost her friend". "Why would she give any information to another wolf"? I asked him confused. If I was searching for the Heir of a pack, any pack, I wouldn't say anything.

'Our spy is a human and smells of just human'. 'She has this masking spray that cover's our wolf scent completely'. 'Savannah probably though she was just a human girl taking a walk'. Diondre said. I nodded my head understanding him.

"Alpha Diondre, thank you for all this information". "I really appreciate it". I told him standing up to shake his hand.

"I do not want to seem rude, but I have a mate to beg for forgiveness". I told him. Diondre nodded his head, shaking Jackson's hand and headed towards the office door, stopping before opening it, he spoke again.

'I am glad you are finally you Alpha Laurent'. 'It was hard pretending to be that she-wolf's mate without killing her myself'. 'I am glad Luna Larry and all six of your pup's are safe'. He said walking out the door. I sat down in my office chair and sighed.

After Diondre left, I had a lot to think about. I thought all this stuff that has been happening was just because of Phoenix, but I'm beginning to believe it is also about Larry. Not because Phoenix is a part of Larry, but because Larry his self.

I sat in my office talking to Jackson. We are trying to figure out what we need to do to continue protecting my pup's and my Larry. On a positive side of everything after Beast ended the she-wolf's life. King Egon showed up in my office. At first Jackson was pi$$ed to see him. Something about not having enough time for his beloved. But Egon had explained everything to Jackson and even showed us video recorded evidence of what he had been up to.

Apparently Egon sensed something was wrong with me but couldn't figure it out, and was afraid if he told Jackson, Jackson would have told Larry and well Larry, Blaze and Phoenix would have destroyed everything in their path before anyone could stop them. I agreed with him. Larry can be pretty damn scary when it comes to his love ones. I don't agree with him hiding anything from Jackson cuz' you can see the pain in Jackson's eyes, but then again if it was Jackson and I found information I probably would have withheld it from Larry.

"Let's go see Larry and my pup's". I said proudly, walking out my office door.

'Laurent be careful with Larry okay'. I heard Egon say behind me.

"I will". I knew why they had said that. Larry has literally been our pup's sole parent recently and because of the she-wolf things became strained between us.

"Moon Goddess please help me". I begged our Goddess. Surely she wouldn't let Larry kill me right?
