Finally

Unknown Entity

Beast POV:

I can hear Laurent calling my name and yes even though I am ignoring him I am still here.

I'm just as confused as Laurent is.

As we grew up it has always just me as Laurent's other half. Never have I felt another entity inside Laurent with me. That is until the day Larry was wolfnapped, and truth be told I never paid much attention I just thought it was my imagination running wild beings since the day we lost our mate neith of us was able to focus on anything except finding our mate.

Both Laurent and I were trying to focus all attention on ever damn lead to try and find Larry that I never had time to pay attention to anything else around us. So that is why I am so confused, Laurent like Larry shifted extremely young, younger than most wolves did but was able to keep it a secret from everyone around him except for his grandfather Samuel.

Laurent trusts Samuel with his life so when he shifted into me he quickly (after shifting back to his self) ran to Samuel and told him what had just happened. Samuel was shocked at first and then after soaking every word Laurent had told him, quietly explained to Laurent why it would be best no one knows he had already shifted until his fifteenth or sixteenth birthday the normal age for an Alpha to shift.

At first Laurent didn't want to agree until his grandfather Samuel explained that if anyone found out including  Laurent's father, the hunters would find out and the pack (even though it's the strongest) would be destroyed not just by the hunters but also other supernatural creatures.

Laurent finally agreed to not let anyone know about his early shift, and to make sure he didn't slip up one day his grandfather offered to have him be compelled from a royal so he would forget. Laurent agreed and from the age of six till he shifted at the age of sixteen (which Laurent still thinks it was his first time shifting) he had never slipped up about his early shift.

Unfortunately I had always known of our early shift, but never told Laurent. Even though I can recall every life I had before I became Laurent's wolf I have never shifted before it was time to. And for as long as I can remember I have never felt this other entity that is now inside Laurent.

I have prayed for the Moon Goddess to come to us and explain what was happening, but of course we have yet to see her presence.

I feel frustrated and a little angry, but mostly lost and confused. This other entity refuses to tell me or even Laurent anything about him and only tells us once the truth is out will he explain everything.

Explain what though?

Sami is Laurent's mother, she gave birth to us and as for his father I am pretty sure he is Laurent's father. But actually I am not sure especially after how he had treated Laurent and even Laurent's mate. Maybe he is not Laurent's real father.

I was lost in my own thoughts ignoring Laurent calling my name that I didn't realize we had shifted back into Laurent and we were now being carried back to the packhouse by the Queen and King of the Vampires.

The queen reminds me of the man that compelled Laurent to forget his first shift but I am not sure we were so young, that I can't remember his features.

I heard Larry's sobs and felt the tingling sparks run throughout Laurent as he held our hand praying for us to wake up. That's when I heard the beating sounds coming from the machines and from the sterile smell I know we are in the Alpha suite of the hospital.

'Laurent please wake up'. I heard Larry whisper through his quiet cries.

I tried to open our eyes but they felt as though they were being held down by lead clips. I tried to squeeze Larry's hand to let him know we, well I can hear him and we will be okay, but nothing was working.

I laid listening to our mate beg for us to wake up through his sobs and nothing I did would make me move. I growl in frustrating but even the growls were left unheard. It was breaking me to hear Larry's cries.

Not sure how long we laid there before the room grew eerily quiet except for the beeping machines Laurent was hooked up to. Not sure I dozed off or just grew numb from the pain I felt rolling off Larry in waves. Not sure if we are even alive or dead, but of course the beeping machines tells me we are at least some what alive.

The glowing warm soothing light brought me out of my uncomfortable silent thoughts. As the most beautiful woman I had ever seen slowly walked towards us. As she got closer I knew instantly she was our Moon Goddess. The mother of wolves. She smiled and held Laurent's hand.

'Beast it is okay'. She said softly looking at me directly. I nodded not knowing what she meant.

'Laurent is a very rare creature'. 'He is my child, his bloodline is the first of my children'. 'Until I created the white wolves that are my direct descendants'. She spoke softly.

'What do you mean'? I ask her. I had to know if what she meant is what I heard.

'What I mean is Laurent's bloodline is the oldest bloodline of our kind'. 'Even older than your mate's bloodline'. She said. I still didn't understand. All throughout history of our kind there had only ever been one oldest bloodline and that was the Royal black wolf. But from the history books that bloodline was wiped out by hunters and other supernatural creatures more than two centuries ago. Right before the first ever white wolf was born. I stared at her still feeling confused. She smiled and then dropped a bomb I was never expecting to hear.

'Laurent's grandfather Samuel was the last of the Royal black wolves before Laurent was born'. 'Have you never wondered why at six he shifted, and even at the age of six he was as big as the warriors'? She asked and then laughed at my shocked expression.

It is true Laurent stood at the age of six as tall as the warriors, but I never thought anything of it.

'I can feel the other entity inside Laurent, he has been here the whole time but chose to hide to keep Laurent safe'. She said. I just nodded my head not knowing what to say until a question that even Laurent has always wanted to know the answer to.

'Why is Laurent's aura blue instead of red or black like most Alpha's aura normally is'? She sighed then answered me.

'It's because Laurent is a true Royal and Royals auras are either white or blue'. She said. I nodded in understanding. I remember watching the Royal Queen and King of the werewolves and remembered their auras being white.

'Beast keep Laurent safe and watch those around him closely'. 'I do not know much about the threat that is coming, but as soon as they learn of Laurent and Larry's existence they will be coming after not just them but also your pups'. She warned me before disappearing.

I sighed not knowing how to take in the information she had just said. I growl because I will not let anyone or anything take my pups away. I will until my dying breath not only protect my mate but also my pups. I felt as though Laurent was finally waking up, and the increasing sound of the machines bells will bring in the doctor's soon. Hopefully we can go home to be with our mate and pups.

As the doctor's turned off the machines disconnecting them from Laurent, Laurent's only question was where was Larry. I smiled knowing no matter what supposed to be threat that will be coming our way we will protect what is ours. We were discharged and as soon as we made it to our room we found our sleeping mate holding our pups in his arms.

Laurent crawled into bed next to Larry and fell asleep instantly.

Tomorrow we will talk to Samuel and find out the truth.
