Finally

Stubborn Mate

Laurent's POV:

I know why Larry is upset with me, and it has nothing to do with me laughing (which I was actually just chuckling) at him.

It also has nothing to do with the way I acted with the Alpha that tranquilized him.

The reason Larry is upset is because not only did Alaric block our link why we talked to the dark witch, but also because before I explained to Larry about the she-wolf and let them meet, I just told him I felt the need to protect her.

Wrong way for me to handle it, especially after I spoke to the pack doctor and found out Larry's emotions have not normalize yet.

If I was Larry I would be upset with me too. I hate making him sad, mad or upset and every time I do I feel as though I'm not a good mate or husband to my Luna and mate.

Sighing as I feel Larry's emotions run through our link. I lowered my head and just let his emotions run through us.

'Mate still love's us'. Beast said whimpering.

"Yes Beast, mate still love's us'. I told him confidently.

'Fix mate'. Beast said. I nodded my head agreeing with him.

"That's what I plan to do". "After Jackson and Larry get back from the park I will talk to Larry calmly until he understands, that no matter the connection I feel with someone else, the need to protect someone else, he and our pup's are my priority". I told Beast. I felt him nodding his head in agreement.

As soon as Larry walked into the packhouse I felt a rush of emotions coming from him, only this time the emotions are calmer.

"Larry can you please meet me in my office, beings I am still banned from our bedroom"? I asked him.

'Yes Laurent'. He said.

Within five minutes there was a knock on the door and from the scents I knew it was Larry all six of my pup's and Queen Jackson. I wanted to talk to Larry alone, but maybe with Queen Jackson here, Larry will finally listen to me.

"Come in my love, Queen Jackson and my pup's". I called out firmly.

Honestly I am nervous my mate is not exactly the easy to deal with when his stubborn side kicks in.

"Please Moon Goddess, watch over us and give both Larry and I patience". I sent a silent prayer to our Goddess while my mate came in my office pushing one stroller that is carrying three of my pup's, while Queen Jackson followed him pushing a stroller carrying my other three pup's.

As soon as my pup's noticed me they began waving their arms in the air and started giggling, making everyone in the office smile.

"Miguel can you wait outside"? I asked, not demanded the head of my pup's security. Miguel nodded his head and walked out of my office. How I didn't know he was with my family I don't know.

'You we're concentrating on our pup's and mate'. Beast said. I nodded agreeing with him.

I waited for Larry and Queen Jackson to sit down before walking towards my pup's and held each one, kissing their heads one by one setting them down in the small play area Larry and I had set up for them.

"Larry I know I have been an a$$, and I am truly sorry". "But you have to know that no matter the reason I feel I need to protect someone, you and our pup's is my priority".

"You are my love".

"My mate".

"My husband".

"My Luna".

"Most importantly my pup's father".

I told him softly. Yes I could feel the change in Larry's emotions as soon as he walked in the packhouse, but I didn't want to say something to cause his good mood to change.

I miss my mate.

'I know Laurent'. 'I have just been feeling off lately'. 'I am sorry'. Larry told me.

I shook my head disagreeing with him. He has nothing to apologize for.

"Oh, my love". I said wrapping my arms around him and holding him to me as close as possible.

"You have nothing to apologize for". "We wolves are half human and have human emotions". "So I understand why your emotions are everywhere right now". I told him softly, squeezing him a little. I felt him nodding his head.

"Queen Jackson, Larry would like something to drink before I begin discussing why I felt the need to protect this she-wolf'? I asked them, both nodded their head.

"Rubix can you send up an Omega with something to drink for three, and my pup's bottle's". I linked my Beta.

'Yes Alpha's. Was his reply.

I sighed setting Larry back comfortably on the couch next to Queen Jackson and began explaining what had happened, but not getting to deep into it until the Omega, (who had just arrived with the items I asked for) left so I can explain deeper.

"First and for most Larry I need you to know I love you more than anything in the world except my pup's". "I waited twenty-six long years for you". "So please keep that in mind when I explain everything". I pleaded to him. I watched as my mate nodded his head, but said nothing.

"Okay so here goes". I said taking a deep breath.

"After Alaric's encounter with the dark witch, and right before your phone call, the Alpha that tagged along with us found his mate". "Alpha Diondre introduced us and I'm not sure why, but I was drawn to her". "Not the way mates are drawn to each other". "After the introductions, I began asking her questions about her pack". "At first she said she came from the BlackHeart pack, again with her answer I wasn't sure why I was drawn to her". "But after a few minutes she explained that her previous packs name was SnowHeart pack". I said. I could have sworn I heard Larry whisper it's name sadly but I might of just thought I heard it

'SnowHeart'? Larry asked confused. I nodded my head yes.

"Yes Larry". "I asked her how she went from your previous pack to her current pack the BlackHeart pack". "She began explaining about the attack on your pack and how hardly any one including your parents and you survived". I said, saying the last part quietly.

'Everyone knows about my packs distruction'. 'She could just recall what someone else told her, or what she heard'. He said. I agreed she could have, but if that is true why would she cry while recounting what happened that night.

"Yes Larry, she could have". "But when I listened to her telling me what had happened, she had tears running down her face and her voiced cracked, but her heartbeat did not increase indicating she was telling me the truth". I told him flatly.

"I do not believe she is lying, and what would she gain"? "She didn't know who I was when she was telling me". "Plus until you meet her, she doesn't even know you are the Larry she said SnowHeart lost or the Luna of this pack". I asked, told him.

'Oh'. Larry said then stopped talking. I watched as his face twisted into his thinking face and I waited for him to say something else.

Sometimes his stubbornness is a pain in the a$$. I thought to myself. Beast nodded his head agreeing with me.

'Okay Laurent I will meet this ''she-wolf'''. 'This she-wolf, you feel the need to protect'. Larry gritted out. I watched as my mate and Queen Jackson gathered up my now sleeping pup's in their arms and carried them out of my office. But before Larry closed the door her spoke to me again.

'You will sleep in the guest room until I meet this ''she-wolf'''. 'I love your caring heart, my love but until we meet you are still being punished'. Larry said firmly closing the door after him.

I sat in my chair and sighed.

"Damn stubborn mate". I gritted out.

'I heard that'. Larry said happily.

"Moon Goddess, please help me". I begged the Goddess.

I got off my chair and laid down on my overstuffed couch to sleep. Hopefully they can meet tomorrow and I can return to my bedroom with my mate.
