Change in the Air pt.1

**Most of this chapter will be from Miguel's POV: then will change to Laurent's POV:**

Miguel's POV:

Luna Larry, the pup's and I have been at the Alpha's house for only two days but Luna Larry looks as though he hasn't eaten in weeks. He's pale and extremely thin, thinner than I had ever seen him and I'm nervous something extreme had happened to him.

After Luna Larry refused to talk to me for the third day I finally called Queen Jackson and explained what has been going on or what I think might be going on with Luna Larry.

I had received mind-linked from Alpha Laurent asking about Luna Larry and his pup's and because of Luna Larry's request not to disclose anything personal to Alpha Laurent, I had lied and told my Alpha his family is fine and that the reason we left the packhouse was because Luna wanted the pup's to be able to play without so many guards.

Unfortunately though I broke Luna Larry's trust by calling Queen Jackson and explaining everything to him the best I could, starting with the day we left the packhouse, up till this evening. I feel guilty about betraying my Luna, but something is really really wrong with my Luna.

'Please Moon Goddess, let Luna Larry understand why I had done what I had done'. I begged our Moon Goddess.

'Miguel please take care of Larry', we will be there soon'. I heard Queen Jackson saying before hanging up the phone.

I sighed heading towards Luna Larry's room. Even though I know he will be upset with me for calling Queen Jackson. I still need to tell him I had called Queen Jackson and that he will be here soon.

After knocking on the door I heard Luna Larry say come in almost in a whispered tone. His voice trembling a little. Panic rose in me right away.

I rushed through the door to find my Luna shivering on his bed.

'Luna, Luna are you okay'? 'What's wrong'? I asked panicking.

'Alpha, Alpha please hurry'. I begged through our link.

'Luna what's wrong'? I asked Luna Larry again.

'I feel hollow'. I heard him whisper. I gasped.

Hollow

How can a wolf feel hollow?

Is Luna feeling hollow because of not being with Alpha? I asked myself not sure if I wanted to know the answer.

I do know that if mated, mate's don't have contact with each other for a long period of time, it can cause depression in their wolves. Maybe that is what is happening to my Luna.

'Alpha please hurry'. I linked Alpha Laurent.

"We are almost there". Alpha Laurent linked back.

'Luna the Alpha is coming'. I told him.

'Laurent doesn't care'. Luna Larry said sounding heartbroken.

I felt a sharp stabbing pain in my heart.

'Luna Larry, Queen Jackson is also coming'.

As soon as I smelt Alpha Laurent's scent I noticed the color in Luna Larry's cheeks returned and his shivering slowed down. I sighed, and got off the bed so that Alpha Laurent can sit down by his mate.

'Miguel come with me'. Queen Jackson told me, I nodded my head and followed him out of the bedroom.

'Miguel how long has Larry been like that'? He asked me. I shrugged my shoulders but decided it was best to answer him with words.

'I truly do not know'. 'He was upset and I even caught him crying as we drove here, but I chose not to ask him'. 'But today I had no choice'. 'Luna stopped eating and locked his self up in that room'. 'I am not sure if it is because of him and his entities missing their mate's or if it because something personal'. 'I noticed the distance between Alpha Laurent and Luna Larry lately and because of that and Luna Larry asking me not to tell Alpha anything, I promised I would never betray Luna Larry's trust and up until today I hadn't, but I had to tell you what had happened'. I explained hoping he is not angry with me.

'I understand why you only told your Alpha little to no information and why you finally called me'. 'I am glad Larry has someone like you by his side when Laurent or I cannot be there'. Queen Jackson said, patting my shoulder.

'Queen Jackson can I ask you something'? I asked. He nodded his head yes.

I took a deep breath and asked the one question I had wanted to ask someone ever since my Luna and Alpha stopped talking to each other.

'Is Alpha Laurent cheating on Luna'? 'Us that why neither one of them has contact each other'? I asked. I know this is something a pack member should never ask. But I live in the same Alpha suite as Luna and his pup's. It's been bothering me since Alpha Laurent came back from searching for the dark witch.

'No Alpha Laurent has never nor will he ever cheat on your Luna'. 'Laurent has waited way too long for his Luna to cheat on him after he got him'. 'I cannot explain anymore right now, but just know that one of their threats has been eliminated and the other threat will soon be eliminated'. He explained. I nodded my head not understanding but agreeing with him.

'Now show me where my Godpup's are'. He said happily. I smiled at him, he truly does love those pup's.

Laurent's POV:

I stared at my shivering mate and felt instant guilt.

My mate and pup's are my number one priority and I have failed them.

Even though I had good reason for my absence, I still failed them.

I sighed heavily strocking Larry's beautiful hair and face.

"Please my love". I whispered in his ear.

"Please open your eyes so I can tell you what has happened and why, and why I have been distant". I continued to whisper in his ear.

'Laurent'. Larry whispered out softly.

"Yes my love". I answered him even though I'm sure he wasn't expecting an answer.

'Why Laurent'? 'Why did you leave me for another wolf'? Larry said sadly. I watched as tears streamed down his face.

Guilt hit me hard.

My stomach churned.

My head and heart pounded heavily.

"Larry you are my one and only". "I love you and only you". "You are my heart, my love, my mate, and my Luna". I told him sternly, but not to sternly. I don't want him to think I am mad at him for how he feels.

I will explain everything to him and hopefully when he knows the truth he will understand and forgive me.

The cries of my pup's brought me out of my thoughts. I kissed Larry's temple, cheek and then his lips before walking out of the room. I stopped at the door and stared at my stunning mate.

"I love you Larry always". I whispered and walked out the door running into Jackson and Miguel carrying my crying pup's. As soon as I touched their little heads they stopped crying immediately.

'Thank the Moon Goddess'. 'These poor pup's have been crying nonstop for the past two hours'. Jackson said.

Two hours?

Had I really been talking to Larry for two hours?

'Let's take them to the kitchen for some lunch'. Miguel said. I carried two of my pup's following Jackson and Miguel to the kitchen.

'Alpha they have missed you so much'. 'Normally Luna can calm them down, but recently it has been hard for even the Luna to calm them down'. Miguel said. I nodded my head understanding what he meant.

'Did you talk to Larry'? Jackson asked. I shook my head no.

"I talked, but Larry is either sleeping or ignoring me". "I will sit him down and explain everything and beg for forgiveness before that witch shows up". I explained to him. I watched as he nodded his head.

'Hopefully Larry will understand why you did all that you did'. 'I can feel the sudden change in the air'. He said I nodded my head yes. I too can feel the change something big is about to happen very, very soon.
