Finally

What Happened?

*This will continue from Miguel's POV...Then it'll change back to Jackson's POV...*

Miguel's POV:

As soon as we arrived at the packhouse I felt a strange surge of uneasy energy coming from inside the packhouse.

'You can feel it to can't you'? Queen Jackson asked me. I just nodded my head not knowing how to answer his question.

'This is why we needed to return right away'. He said sighing then continued. 'As soon as we arrived two visiting Alpha's were in a fist fight, one of them came back with your Alpha'. 'The other one claim's he is your Alpha's true mate'. He said shocking me. I wanted to ask what he meant but he held up his hand stopping me from asking him anything so he can continue explaining what happened. 'Like I said when both Egon and I arrived we witnessed two visiting Alpha's fighting, I asked a pack member where was the Beta or the Alpha and the pack member told me they haven't seen your Alpha since the day he arrived and your Beta was with his mate, because rogues tried to wolfnap their pup'. He explained. A cold shiver ran down my spine. My mind began to understand why they had to return quickly and why the house was overran by rogues trying to get to the Alpha and Luna's pup's. My heart sank knowing I could've unknowingly help some rogues to wolfnap the pup's I've sworn to protect with my life.

I felt a cold hand on my shoulder, shaking me out of my nightmarish thoughts.

'Do not blame yourself'. 'I myself cannot figure out how they were able to get into the house grounds without being detected'. 'Well actually I think I do know, but of course I haven't tested the theory yet'. He said, sadly.

'Um Queen Jackson'. 'You mention that the pack hasn't seen Alpha Laurent since the day he came back'. 'Have you seen him'? 'Or is he missing'? I said asking him, hopefully he knows what happened to my Alpha.

'I have seen your Alpha, but before I could figure out what was happening to him, I received your phone call'. 'Thank you by the way for protecting my Godpup's while also taking care of Larry'. He explained and then thanked me. I didn't need his thanks I was doing my job, but I appreciate his kindness.

'Let's get Larry to the pup's nursery, and both of us can check on your Alpha'. He said. I wanted to refuse but he told me that both King Egon and Maria will stay with Luna Larry and the pup's until we were done checking on Alpha Laurent. I nodded my head yes and carried two pup's behind them towards their nursery.

Jackson's POV:

Egon stopped me from explaining anything to Miguel while we were driving back towards the packhouse, not because he doesn't trust Miguel, but because we do not know much about Maria yet, her being a newer pack member. Egon reminded me that even though both Larry and Laurent trust Miguel with their pup's lives, they haven't asked any other pack members including Maria to watch over them.

**FLASHBACK COMING UP**

I remembered the talk that both Egon and I had with Larry when we were trying to find the perfect guard for my Godpup's. I wanted to do complete background checks, like how the humans do, but Larry said he can just read other supernatural creatures minds without them knowing someone is invading their mind and unlock the supernaturals true personality, and find any hidden dark secrets. The only draw back is that it drain's Larry's energy. Over the course of two days Larry, Egon and I interviewed all walks of both supernatural and human creatures to try and find the most trustworthy being to be willing to protect my Godpup's with their lives. Larry was growing increasingly frustrating because he couldn't find the right being that was until Miguel asked to be interviewed.

Without the interview I knew right away Larry would choose him, he just had a positive aura about him that even Egon picked up on.

The interview was quick and if course Larry hired him right away. I asked Larry why he chose him even though I was pretty sure I knew the answer, but what Larry told me shocked me.

'I chose him because, even though he became a homeless rogue, he refused to become one of those rogues and lose his humanity'. 'He stayed as close to being human as he could till he could find a pack willing to take him in'. 'Plus his heart and soul is as pure as my pup's is'. 'He's perfect'. 'I know if anything happens to Laurent and I and you or Egon is not around, that Miguel will keep my pup's safe no matter what, even if it costs him, his last breath'. Larry explained. I knew Miguel was once a rogue do to being kicked out of his previous pack because he wouldn't help try and overthrow the Alpha, I just didn't know he managed to keep his humanity intact while being a rogue.

**END IF FLASHBACK**

Miguel is the only pack member (other than the pack doctor) that is not Laurent's family or Beta that knows my Godpup's are actually both Larry and Laurent's pup's.

That's why I chose to wait till we returned to the packhouse before I answered any of Miguel's questions.

I didn't want any rogue wolves to over hear what I had to say, plus I didn't want my Godpup's (even though three are just a little over a one year old, and the other three is just a few months old) to hear what I had to say. They probably wouldn't understand but I didn't want to take the chance.

I sighed as both Miguel and I walked towards Laurent and Larry's bedroom. I'm not sure if Miguel is ready to see what had happened to Laurent but I need his help figuring out how to stop it.

'Miguel, both Larry and Laurent trust their pup's lives in your hands, and Larry trusted you with the truth of the pup's identity'. 'Because of that this is why I am showing you what is happening to Laurent and why I explained what was happening here at the packhouse'. I explained to him, hoping he understood the reason I told him anything.

'I understand'. He said.

'Prepare yourself, it'll shock you'. I told him, opening the door. A gasp was heard as we walked into the bedroom.

'What happened to my Alpha's? He asked turning pale.

'I'm not sure, but when Egon and I arrived came to check up on him, right before I got your call, there was some sort of shadowy type creature hovering over him'. 'As soon as the shadow realized someone else was in the room, it disappeared'. 'Egon believes that the shadow was syphoning Laurent's energy'. 'It would explain why we all felt an uneasy flood of emotions and fear'. I explained to him. I watched as he nodded his head agreeing with me but not really.

'Queen Jackson'. He started to say, but I put my hand up stopping him.

'Jackson, you can just call me Jackson'. I told him.

'Qu, um, I mean Jackson', what do we do'? 'If Luna Larry wakes and finds Alpha Laurent like this, um well I don't think there will be a packhouse left'. He rushed out. I couldn't help but laugh at what he said. It's true Larry may seem sweet and innocently soft, but pi$$ him off and Goddess help you, because he won't.

'I don't know'. I answered him honestly.

'Why don't you go back to the pup's nursery and send Egon here'. 'We will keep an eye on your Alpha, while you and Maria keeps an eye on Larry and my Godpup's'. I told him softly.

I watched as he walked out the door closing the door behind him. I sighed and stared out the window at the beautiful large Moon in the sky. I decided to pray to the Moon Goddess.

'Please Moon Goddess'. 'I know I am not one of your children, but they are in trouble, please help them get through this'. 'Protect them'. I finished my prayer, when I heard the bedroom door open.

My body began stiff on high alert. The creature that walked into the room was not my beloved.
