Chapter 3

I couldn't sleep.

No matter how hard I tried to close my eyes I
don't feel tired.

Falling asleep earlier really did me dirty. Jiyoung constantly moving in her sleep isn't helping much either.

But I also just have something in mind that's bothering me, Jaehyun.
I can't help but think what happened at the bar. What would've happened if I didn't move? Would he had still tried to kiss me? Was he going to kiss me???

All these questions keep rushing towards my head it's a lot if I'm being honest.

I look out my window. The moon is big and bright, stars surrounding it, not a single cloud in the way. It's simple yet beautiful.

Why do I feel stupid? Of course he wouldn't kiss me, and I wouldn't either. I only see him as a friend despite how close we are. Plus he's not even the type to get involved in relationships, a strong relationship is what I want. It's not like we would ever be in one anyway.

I know that all we'll ever be is friends, and I'm fine with that

...I think?

The next morning

After what felt like an eternity I was finally able to sleep at night, I wake up to the sound of people talking. Everyone has woken up before I did.

"Hey you're up" Miyeon says as everyone looks in my direction
"Yeah I heard you guys so I figured it's time to get out of bed"

"You guys look like shit" you say giggling towards Mark and Jiyoung, who look as if they overdid themselves the night before.

"Shut up!" they both shout in unison
You laugh "Fine, let's do something to take care of those hangovers" you lightly pat Marks arm

With the help of the others I made everyone a big breakfast, hopefully this will help them feel better.

"I should leave some for him too"

I pull out my phone and begin to text Jaehyun

hey you up yet?
i made breakfast

Wonder if he even came home last night

"So what are our plans for tonight" Mina starts
I glare at her

"We're barley recovering from last night and you want to go out again??" I ask shocked

"Cmon don't tell you wouldn't want to go out again?" Johnny chucked

"No! I don't! Stay at home for once"
For once I might have to skip any plans being made to go out. I don't think I can do it this time

"You guys can go out, I'll pass this time" I say as I return to my food

"What? no we always go out together" Jiyoung says with the little energy she's slowly regaining

"Sorry, this time it's a no"
They all seem disappointed at my response
"Next time guys" I say reassuring them "I just don't feel like it today"

A Hours later

After breakfast we all cleaned and talked some more. Eventually everyone started leaving to their own homes, leaving me in the quiet at last.
Of course I love hanging with my friends no doubt, but I really need to be by myself at least for a bit. I throw myself on the coach and rest my eyes, till I hear a knock at my door

"who the hell could it be now?"

I huff and go to answer the door. I open to see a familiar face

"Hey, I got your text" Jaehyun says as he enters my apartment

"That was hours ago, you missed out sorry"

"Sorry, I had things to do" he smirks

"I don't want details" I quickly stop him knowing where the conversation is going

He smiles and sits down next to me
"So what did you guys do today?" he asks

"Hmm, we woke up pretty late, just ate and hung out a bit more, they all left not that long ago"
He nods paying attention to what I was saying

"They also want to go out again tonight. But I already told them that I won't be going"

"You're not going? why not" he asks surprised

"I'm too tired to be honest, I honestly didn't feel like going out yesterday either but I only went cuz you all wanted me to" I shrug looking down at the floor

We both stay quiet for a minute, when we suddenly hear notifications from both our phones, it's the group chat

yujin? you change your mind?

sorry, i'm still staying home
next time okay?

I look back up towards him
"You're not going?"
"Nope, i'm staying in tonight"

He's typically not the type to skip an invitation like this, this is something new

"You seem surprised" he says as he notices the slight shocked look on my face
"You don't ever miss out on any hangouts"
"Neither do you"
"I mean it just seems different when you do"

"I just feel like doing something different this time. This time I'm staying in" He answers confidently. I simply laugh back

"Yujin"
"Hm?"
"Stay with me tonight?"
