Chapter 25

What do I do?

One minute I was arguing with him and the next...he tells me that he has feelings for me.

I want to evaporate right about now. Of course my dumbass ran away from the situation

I face the front door, what should I tell him?

Is he being serious though? I tend to take his words with a grain of salt at times. But this time I feel like it's true, however I can't help but second guess myself as always.

I have to go back, it's not fair to continuously avoid him whenever something happens. Just like the last incident from a few weeks ago.

I exit my apartment. I feel my fist tremble as I reach to knock on his door, but it has to be done.

He opens and he stares at me as his face changes to a slightly less gloom look

"Let's talk" I simply say

"So you like me" I say to him
"I do"
"For how long?"
"A while"
"Do you have an estimate or..." I do my best to lighten the mood, though it seems to be very difficult for the both of us right now
"Years"
Damn. Years.
I don't want to offend him with any unnecessary commentary, it's best to keep I
it all to myself
"I've been in love with you for years" he confirms
"Love?" this is new
"Love" he repeats

I didn't think this thru at all. But he's in love with me. This is the first time someone has confessed their love for me

"I knew you weren't going to take my confession well. Saying that I love you right off the bat would've made it worse"

I rest my hands on the counter. Trying to figure something to say, but how do you respond to this?

"I'm going to ask you something but don't get mad, please" I'm too anxious to ask him, but I have to
"It's okay, I know you probably have lots of questions. Ask away" he's being so patient with me

"How do I know that you're genuinely being serious and it's not just one of your stupid jokes again?"

He looks down and smiles, guess it wasn't as offensive as I anticipated it would be

"I can set aside the truth when it comes to you"

Yeah cuz that's very reliable

"But I want you to tell me something" he says
I look at him, what could he possibly ask at a time like this?
"What are your feelings towards me?"
Damn it, I should've known this was going to come around

For a while now my feelings for Jaehyun have been unsteady, but I always dismissed those feelings and distracted myself with other guys in hopes they would go away

"I don't know" I sigh
We both stay quiet. This is too awkward
"Can you ever imagine yourself being with me?"
"I don't know Jaehyun" I shake my head

I want to give him and answer, but I don't even know myself. I'm completely stuck

"What about Taeyong? Do you know your feelings for him?" He gets upset, he doesn't want to hear that I may have stronger feelings for someone besides him
"You still want to go back to the topic of Taeyong?"
"I just want to know Yujin"

"Jaehyun I don't know" I exhale
"I don't know what I want, I don't know who I want, I don't know" I feel a lump forming in my throat, why is this so difficult?
"Okay" he responds gently

"So now what?" I ask
"I was kinda hoping you would've had an idea" he gets nervous
"We're in a weird space right now"

This is so bad. I wish I could have my feelings figured out just to give him some sort of answer

"Okay how about this?"
I hope this idea of his is a good one
"Right now you're not certain because you don't know if you believe me or not"
He not wrong...
"What if I prove to you that I really do have feelings for you?"

I stare at him. That sentence can go many ways, especially since he tends to have a perverted mind at times

"Prove as in..."
"Take you out, spend more time with you, anything you want"
This sounds convincing
"What about you and your playing habits?" I ask
"We forget about them. As of today those days are over"
Holy shit. Is he being serious?
"So? What do you say?"

I think I should trust him on this. Maybe he will go thru with it if he's actually being sincere about wanting to be with me, but he's not the only one.

"Okay. Under one condition"
"What?" he sounds excited at the fact that I may actually accept his proposal
"Taeyong also gets the same opportunity"
His smile drops, he didn't realize this was going to become a competition
"Taeyong"
"Mhm"
He clearly didn't like the idea. I can tell just by him rolling his eyes

"He told me that he likes me today" I admit to him
"I figured. He told me that he does"
"I want to be fair. If you want a chance he also gets to have one. Otherwise I can't makeup my mind"
"Okay, fine" he gives in
"So we have a deal?" I ask
"Yes"
"Great"

I don't know how we got to this point. But it sure is going to be interesting to watch
