Lover Next Door

Chapter 1

 
I was studying in the library. This is where i like to come to when i want to get away from the loudness of life. I'm not that big on studying but just the silence is what soothes me.

I continued studying when i got a notification on my phone, it was Jiyoung, my friend.

yujin?? where are you??

library where else?

come to the spot smart ass

"hmm...guess it's time to come out from my hiding space"

I pack my things and head towards the "spot" which is literally just this big area on campus where everyone goes to meet up with their friends in their spare time. I look around to see if i can find my friends.

"Yujin! Over here!" I hear someone yell out.
I turn to see my friends waving at me and motioning me to go to them.

"Hey" I say to them as I sit down by them

We all talk for a bit discussing our day, any new gossip, overall the usual stuff.

"It's finally Friday" Jiyoung says as she lays her head on my shoulder. We all agree that it's a relief that it is.

"You know what that means? It's time to make plans for the weekend" Miyeon exclaims

"Don't you guys get tired of doing plans every weekend? I mean what if we just have a night in?" I suggest not really motivated to go out

"No" they all immediately say
I sigh in defeat. Guess going out it is

"What should we do then?" Mina asks

"I don't know about you guys, but I know exactly what we should do tonight" Jiyoung says as she stands up. Almost as if she's going to give some sort of business proposal. We all look at her waiting for her suggestion.

"Let's go drinking"
Everyone seems to be on board, meaning I would most definitely have to agree to it as well
"What do you say Yujin" She asks looking towards me

Before I can even say anything, our conversation is interrupted.

"Drinking? I'm all for it, let's go" Says a familiar deep voice

"I don't know if you heard Jaehyun, but it's a girls night" Jiyoung scoffs

I look to see Jaehyun approaching towards us along with his close friends, Mark, Johnny and Yuta.

"Cmon, we're all friends here" He says motioning all of us

"Fine" Jiyoung says quickly giving up. Knowing her, she would've invited them either way. She's those "the more the merrier" types of people. In this case "The more people, the bigger the party".

Don't get me wrong of course I enjoy the party lifestyle. I'm always willing to go out. But sometimes it can get a big tiring.

As everyone is talking amongst each other, I feel someone sit next to me, none other than my best friend.

"Hey" "Hi" we say to each other
"So, you coming with us?" He asks
"Hmm, I don't know. I'm kinda debating on it"
"Let's go, it'll be fun" he says trying to convince me

Should I go just to get it over with?

"Come on, please" He says pretending to beg
"Under one condition"
"What?"
"You pay for me" I say jokingly, not actually expecting him to pay

I see him think for a moment, then he smiles
"Okay" He then agrees
"I'm joking" I quickly say
"That's crazy, I'll still pay" He answers back

I roll my eyes at his response smiling back at him. Something about his smile, if looks could kill.

"Hey so when are we going?" I hear Mark ask

"It's only 3:30 let's meet up at the bar at 8?" Miyeon suggests

We all agree on the time and begin to part our own ways for the time in between

"Hey I'm gonna be with the guys in the mean time, are you okay going home by yourself?" Jaehyun asks me

Being that we're really close friends, we decided on getting apartments next door to each other, or well across the hall from each other. We both agreed that if we became roommates it would drive us insane, so being neighbors was the next best thing.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I'll see you later" I say

We both wave by at each other and go our own ways as well.

I walk since the campus isn't that far from home,

"the weather is so nice today"

I finally make it home and drop my stuff in my room. I sit for a bit and rest. I should probably clean around and get ready for later, I'm too tired.

I slowly close my eyes and doze off...
