Chapter 48

Yujin's POV

I wake up to this pounding headache. Once again, I feel like shit. Me and alcohol can't ever get along well.

I honestly don't remember ever getting home last night. I look around to find myself in my room somehow.

I hear ringing noises. As my hearing slowly clears up I realize its my phone ringing.

Why now?

I grab it and see that it's Johnny calling. What could he want?

Hello? I answer
"Yujin! Finally!"
"Sorry I just woke up. What's up?"

"By any chance is Jaehyun with you?"
"No"
"That son of a bitch"
"Why? What's wrong"

"It's just that last night he left with you, and he promised to go out with me and the guys today but he's not answering his phone or the door" he explains

So I guess he must've brought me home

"Oh. Well I haven't seen him" I look around just in case he did actually end up spending the night

"You don't happen to have a key to his apartment, do you?" he asks

"Uhh" I think for a moment

Then I remember that when we first moved in he gave me his spare key just in case, but I never used it.
I looked around my room and in the end found it in my nightstand drawer.
I go to open my door and see Johnny standing by Jaehyun's door

"So you do have one" he smirks
"I forgot I did to be honest"

"You don't think that he's probably just asleep" I hesitantly knock on his door to double check
"I don't know, he would've answered by now"

I unlock the door and we both enter, it seems empty

"Jaehyun?" Johnny calls out

No response.

We turn to each other with confusion/concern on our faces. I go over to his room in hopes that he's probably just asleep

"Jaehyun" I call this time

Empty.

"He's not here" I say to Johnny as he walks in
"Look" he points out that his closest was left open, he must've taken clothes out

"I don't see his backpack" I point out the missing backpack that I usually see when he's here
"Do you think...maybe?" Johnny asks

"What the fuck do you mean he's gone??" Jiyoung shouts

"I don't know!" I sigh

We all met up at my place. Me and Johnny explained how he hasn't been answering his phone and how some of his things are gone from his apartment

"Have any of you been able to reach him?" Mark asks around, everyone shakes their head

"Can any of you remember anything at all from last night?" Miyeon asks
"All I know is that at the end he brought Yujin home cause she was drunk" Mina says

They all look at me

"What?" I look back
"Did anything happen when you guys came home?" Jiyoung asks
"I don't know"
"What do you mean you don't know?" Mark asks sounding a bit irritated
"I mean I don't know!"

"Okay, let's calm down" Yuta says
"Yujin was drunk. She blacked out from what it seems" he explains

"Have you tried calling him?" Johnny asks me
"Me?"
"Yes you"

To be honest even though I'm worried about him i'm still very upset with him. I don't know

"No"
"Maybe if you call he'll answer"

I reluctantly agree to it and pull out my phone to call

"Put it on speaker" Mina whispers as it rings

We wait. It feels like forever as the call just keeps ringing.
Suddenly there's a sound like someone picked up

"Jaehyun?"
"What do you want?" he asks

"What do I want? Where the hell are you?"

What's his problem?

"You wanted me to go away didn't you? I'm just doing what you asked me to"

"What are you talking abo-"
"Look I just need space right now. Away from you, from everyone. Don't call me or text me I want to be alone" he hangs up before

"What the hell" I say as I put my phone down
"What is he talking about Yujin" Mark asks

"I don't know"
"You probably said something that rubbed him the wrong way" he slowly starts to get more upset

"I don't know"
"You don't know anything like what the fuck"
"Are you trying to say this is my fault?" I start to get upset
"It makes sense"
"You're full of shit Mark"

"Okay enough" Yuta intervenes once again
"Yujin. You sure there isn't anything you can recall?"
"Damnit I already told you guys I don't know!" I get frustrated

"Okay. I think we should just pause this and regroup another time to figure out what's going on with Jaehyun. Cause right now we're getting nowhere with all this back and forth" Jiyoung says

"I agree" Johnny says

Everyone starts to leave and I take a deep breath to calm down

"You okay?" Mina is the only one left
"Yeah. I don't know" I admit to her

She gives me a hug
I feel sad. Maybe he left because of me

"We're going to find him" she comforts me
"I hope so"

Jaehyun where are you..?
