Chapter 9

Saturday Night

I'm getting ready for Miyeon's party. I'm already debating on whether or not I'm going to drink, worried tonight might be one of those nights where I go too hard, let's hope not.

My phone rings as I receive a text from Johnny

hey i'll be there in 10 minutes
okayy

I would've asked Jiyoung to come pick me up but since she's roommates with Miyeon she was definitely busy setting things up. Johnny is a good friend anyway, we don't really have that bond where we would have deep conversations with each other, but he's nice to hang around with. yeah

i'm here
coming

I leave and walk out of my building, he's waiting up front in his car.
"Hey" I say as I get in the passenger side. "Hey, you ready to go?" he asks
"Yup"
"Um, not that I mind driving you but how come you didn't ask Jaehyun to take you?

Shit. I forgot not everyone knows what happened. I was about to say something but then I hear the back door open and someone get in

"Oh yeah I forgot to tell you he asked for a ride too" Johnny quickly adds
I turn my head and we not at each other, not exchanging any words, I turn back to Johnny and simply nod.
"Alright let's go" he turns the car and we drive away

The entire ride I stay quiet looking outside the window while Johnny and Jaehyun have their own conversation. I tune them out and look at the pretty lights all over the city, I love the night time.

"So how come you guys aren't talking" Johnny asks making me snap out of my thoughts

"Hm?"

"Yeah, I noticed you guys haven't talked to each other for a few days now"

I try to come up with an excuse, why did he have to ask us both at the same time?

"We made a bet, whoever can spend the longest without talking to the other wins" Jaehyun says
"What do they win?
"Lunch from the loser" I respond
"You guys are weird" Johnny laughs, I laugh a little too

We arrive at the house, I already notice the tons of people already there, I guess Miyeon wanted to go all out this year. We enter the house but go our own ways, I talk to a few friends and catch up with them, then I hear someone calling my name

"Yujin you made it aah!!!" a loud Jiyoung greets me followed by a hug, I see Miyeon behind her.
"How much has she had already?" I ask referring to how many drinks has she had.
"I lost count" Miyeon smiles nervously,
"That's not good" I say laughing as I give her a hug, "Happy Birthday!"

"Yujin! Hey!" I turn around to see Yuta calling me over to him
I walk over to where he is sitting "Hey"
"I want you to meet my friend"
I look over only to see a somewhat familiar face, I try to remember who he is

Flashback
"Here you go" he says with a small grin, he's really cute
"Thank you" I look at him, damn I feel myself blushing
"Have a goodnight" he says and leaves

End of Flashback

"Yujin, meet Taeyong" Yuta says motioning the guy next to him. He looks at me and smiles
"Nice to meet you Yujin" he gets up to shake my hand
"Hi, nice to meet you too" I say, completely blown away by his charming looks

Taeyong, It's nice to see you again, and to officially meet you
