"I'm sorry dad. But I can't accept this offer. This is too much to handle for me." I said before making my way out of the dining room. Ayaw ko na mabigay sa akin ang ganito kabigat na responsibilidad. Mahihirapan lang ako.

Yumuko ako, avoiding her gaze. I am totally fine. Kung maayos si Vivienne, maayos na rin ako. I want what's the best for her. Okay na rin ako dun.

"No, you don't understand..." I said bago umiling iling. 

She took a deep breath, still not breaking our eye contact. "Xyronne. Alam ko. Alam ko lahat." She said. 

Naguluhan ako. Confusion is visible in my eyes. "What do you know, mom? Is this something you're trying to hide?" 

Tears are slowly falling from her eyes. "Anak. Vee... Vee is a product of rape." 

Parang bumagsak ang mundo ko. Not for me, but for Vivienne. Agad ako tumalikod sakanila. I was about to rush to her when my mom suddenly held my hand.
