Skye's POV
"Congrats on your residency! Road to fellowship!" Gulat ako'ng napatingin kila Jozette nang surpresahin nila ako sa condo ko. I laughed when I saw what was written on the cake.
Congrats Doc, need na namin inaanak asap.
"Anong kalokohan to?!" Natatawa na sambit ko. Sinabayan lang nila ako ng tawa bago kunin ang instax nila to take a picture.
"Thanks, girls. Pero pano kayo nakapasok dito?" I asked them. Polly gave me a playful smile before answering.
"Hiningi namin susi ng jowa mo." Tumango tango na lang ako. Kasabwat siya sa surprise pero bakit wala siya dito?
They called me for a picture. Matapos ngumiti ay pasimple ko na kinuha ang phone ko para sana tawagan si Xyronne. But, I recieved a text from him.

I'll stay in my condo for a while. Have fun with the girls.

Don't invite any strippers there. Susunduin talaga kita.
Natawa ako sa nabasa ko. Ano ba akala niya sa celebration na to? Bridal shower?
Mas maaga natapos ng Residency si Xyronne sa akin dahil mas maaga rin siya nagsimula. Na delay ako ng months before taking my residency because I need to save up money. That's why nag part time muna ako sandali para mag tutor.
Nang makauwi siya sa Pilipinas, ay sinimulan na niya ang Fellowship niya. That's why he's ahead of me. For months.
"Come on let's eat!" Pag aaya ni Jozette. Inakbayan ko si Polly bago tuloy tuloy na sumunod kay Jozette sa dining area.
3 years have passed since I started residency. As I looked at the both of them, nakakatuwa lang isipin na hanggang sa pagtapos ng aking residency ay andito pa rin sila.
I'm thankful that they still chose to walk with me.
I came back to my senses when Jozette faked a cough. Mukhang may gusto siya sabihin. Sabay kami tumingin sa kaniya ni Polly.
"Sige na, sabihin mo na." Sambit ni Polly habang kumakain ng cake. Nilipat lipat ni Jozette ang tingin sa aming dalawa bago kami suklian ng masayang ngiti.
It's different from before.
"I-I'm getting married."
Agad nanlaki ang mata namin ni Polly sa narinig. Wala ako'ng maprocess sa mga sinabi niya. A-ano daw?!
